in the tournaments for a
chance to advance to the

The winning team of the
state tournament advances

All of the tournaments are

Superior would advance to
play the winner between
Santa Cruz and Florence on
July 8.
The 9/10 Division
Baseball All-Stars started

1 – 1, Superior looked to
avoid elimination versus
San Manuel/Mammoth on
July 7. Game results were
not available at press time.
With a win, Superior would
advance to play the loser
between Maricopa and
Casa Grande on July 8.
The 9/10 Division Softball
All-Stars were defeated
by Casa Grande in their
opening game on June
30, 30 – 0. They took on
Coolidge on July 1 looking

to enroll. Students should bring their digital camera, water, and
a snack.
Tom Boggan’s class, for adults, will be a basic workshop
geared to smartphones and ‘point-n-shoot’ cameras. As Boggan
describes it: “The best camera is the one you have with you.
Even if you’re shooting with your cellphone or a point-n-shoot,
you can still make great photos. In this two-hours class I’ll
demonstrate ways to capture better photos using compact
cameras, mirrorless cameras, point-n-shoot cameras, and
especially your smartphone. We’ll spend about 45 minutes in the
classroom talking about gear, apps for shooting and editing on
your smartphone, capturing light and methods of composing a
shot; then, head into the garden to practice together.”
Boggan’s workshops are limited to eight students; priced
inexpensively, and rated highly.
