Week 2 - Rutherford Primary School
PICKING UP AND DROPPING OFF CHILDREN
Welcome back to school for 2016. We are looking forward to another year of amazing learning and fun activities at Rutherford.
No doubt you have all noticed the beginnings of our new playground!! We are so excited that it is almost finished and we will be able to
use it very soon. The official opening for the playground will be on 26th February. The opening will be combined with our welcome to
2016 Powhiri and a Meet the Teacher/Parents event. Please put 2pm – 5pm in your diary for the 26th February.
Dallas Brittain, our Officer Manager, has resigned from our school and we wish her well for the future.

Belle the pig has been with us for the
last 2 weeks. She is a KuneKune from
the East Coast. All of the children have
had the opportunity to bottle feed and
pat her. Belle will be joining her sister
Ninja on the farm next week, in her
new role being a lawnmower.
Thank you from Mrs Coup to all the
children who have helped look after
Belle during her noisy stay.
