~Gerald Ford
Tiburón Golf Club would like to congratulate Rod Pampling
and Jerry Kelly on their spectacular win at the 2006 Merrill
Lynch Shootout. Both players caught fire on Sunday in the
scramble format and steam-rolled their way to victory despite
strong challenges by their fellow competitors. Though the
galleries were treated to great golf for the entire duration of
the event, no teams played better than these two warriors of
the links did over the course of the three rounds. During
their victory speech, both players expressed their sincere
appreciation to Greg Norman, the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort,
and Tiburón Golf Club for hosting the event and said they
look forward to returning to defend their title next year.
