About Wendell Holdbrook, DMD American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Spec # 05838 Dr. Wendell, as he is known to patients and parents alike, uses his mild, warm personality to create a friendly, approachable environment that is inviting to those of all ages. He is calm and easily adapts to each child’s needs and manner. There, she was awarded the Dr. Mark McIntyre Memorial Award for Clinical Excellence in Dentistry. In 2007, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University School of Dentistry. Since graduating dental school, Dr. Pisarcik has practiced general dentistry exclusively on children. She began her dental career as a general dentist working in pediatric dental offices. With patience, empathy and enthusiasm, she focuses on creating experiences that are non- threatening and relatable to all ages. Born and raised in South Jersey, Dr. Green graduated from George Washington University with honors and continued directly to dental school at Temple University School of Dentistry, where she obtained her DMD. After dental school, she completed advanced hospital training in multiple specialties at Newark Beth Israel Hospital’s general practice residency. Dr. Green then joined a large practice in Philadelphia focusing her practice primarily on children and patients with special needs. She decided that she truly loved working with children and was accepted to and completed her pediatric specialty training at Temple University’s Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia. In addition to her love of pediatrics, Dr. Green has a long time affinity for working with people with special needs and for outreach projects. While in college at George Washington University she became closely involved with the Special Olympics, an organization she greatly supports and continues to participate with yearly. In addition, Dr. Green has been honored with the opportunity to travel to Haiti, twice, with a team of dentists to provide treatment to people in need. D I RK O F T US J T O N About Gerry Corsi Jr., DMD Dr. Corsi recently established the general practice portion of Holdbrook Dental, allowing families to take care of all their entire dental needs under one roof. Dr. Corsi is skilled in restorative dentistry, including white composite fillings, ceramic crowns, veneers, whitening and implant restoration. For the anxious patient he also offers nitrous oxide sedation. For patients with special needs who cannot be seen in the average office setting, Dr. Corsi offers services done under general anesthesia at the Surgical Center of South Jersey. Dr. Corsi received his BA in biology at the University of Richmond, where he was a member of Beta Beta Beta; National Biological Honor Society and a Bonner Scholar. He later earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from Temple University School of Dentistry where he finished in the top 10 % of his class and was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Corsi is currently licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. A: C onscious sedation is a management technique that uses medications to assist children cope with fear, reduce anxiety and cooperate with dental treatment. A: Conscious sedation aids in allowing a child to better handle dental treatment.
