FOR THE PAST 25 YEARS, the Franklin Templeton
Shootout hosted by Greg Norman, has been one of the
most unique tournaments on the PGA TOUR.
With a purse of $3.1 million, a distinctive format and an
unparalleled Pro-Am experience, the Shootout enjoys
a distinguished reputation. Held at Tiburón Golf Club in
Naples, Florida, with the on-site Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort
serving as host hotel, the Franklin Templeton Shootout is
renowned for its exclusivity.

The event is comprised of 24 elite PGA TOUR professionals
who participate in the two-day Pro-Am and then compete
as two-person teams in the 54-hole modified alternate
shot, better ball and scramble formats. The players,
spectators and television viewers enjoy the balance of
camaraderie and intensity that results from this unique
team competition.
Additionally, the Franklin Templeton Shootout is devoted
to charity. Greg is a trustee of CureSearch for Children’s
Cancer, the principal benefactor of the tournament. It’s a
great event for a great cause.

THE HOST
GREG NORMAN IS UNDOUBTEDLY one of the best-known and
respected sporting personalities in the world. Aside from being an
Australian icon, he has been adopted in the United States as one of its
most popular sports celebrities.
With unmatched charisma and energy, Greg has won more than 90
tournaments, and claims the distinction of having held the No. 1 position
in the world rankings for 331 weeks. In recognition of his accomplishments
both on and off the golf course, Greg was inducted into the World Golf
Hall of Fame and received the GWAA Bartlett Award for his philanthropic
endeavors. In 2009 Greg served as the Presidents Cup Captain of the
International team and was chosen to reprise his role in his native
Australia at Royal Melbourne Golf Club in 2011.
Greg is admired as a sportsman, businessman, and a global traveler. He
possesses the rare ability to connect with people on all levels; from heads
of state and corporate chairs to the person on the street.

THE VENUE
THE FRANKLIN TEMPLETON SHOOTOUT is geared to intimacy,
style and unsurpassed hospitality. An important factor in creating this
atmosphere is the venue. The tournament is played at the Greg Normandesigned Tiburón Golf Club. Tiburón has the advantage of being a 36hole facility, giving sponsors the benefit of utilizing the non-tournament
golf course during event week. Voted by Golf Digest as the No. 1 golf
resort in Florida, The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort is located on property, just
steps from the 18th green.

Since moving to Naples in 2001, the community has embraced this
event on a variety of levels --- media exposure, volunteer support and
spectator attendance. The city of Naples serves as an enticing backdrop
for the Shootout. The fashionable downtown area, Old Naples, offers

THE 2014 FRANKLIN TEMPLETON SHOOTOUT PRO-AM
will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 9th and 10th.
Generally acknowledged as one of the best on the PGA TOUR,
the Franklin Templeton Shootout Pro-Am is exceptional because
it takes place over two days, allowing amateurs to play with a
different PGA TOUR professional each day. Unlike a typical TOUR
event, at the Franklin Templeton Shootout the professionals
attend all functions, which enhances the experience and allows
unprecedented access to the world’s top golfers.
Over the years sports and entertainment luminaries such as Matt
Lauer, David Feherty, Jim Nantz, Terry Bradshaw, Dan Hicks,
Brian Kilmeade and Chris Berman have emceed the
Pro-Am functions.
