You`re invited to Celebrate an Anniversary!
Don’t underestimate the importance of
children’s ministry in our Church!
A current Barna Group study indicates
that nearly half of all Americans who
accept Jesus Christ as their savior do
so before reaching the age of 13
(43%), and that two out of three born
again Christians (64%) made that
commitment to Christ before their 18th
birthday. One out of eight born again
people (13%) made their profession of
faith while 18 to 21 years old. Less
than one out of every four born again
Christians (23%) embraced Christ after
their twenty-first birthday.
As I look at these figures, I see the
importance of ministry to kids and
youth. In July, we have Vacation Bible
School (Arctic Edge-Where Adventure
Meets Courage). In September we will
be starting AWANA’S on Wednesday
nights. Our purpose is to reach more
and more kids in the Trinity area.
On July 16, we want to ask the people
of Trinity to help us do something
special. On that Sunday evening we
will have a small dinner together—
then, everyone who is able and willing
will be sent out to neighborhoods to
hand out Arctic Edge (VBS) flyers. We
hope to give out thousands of
invitation flyers. On that evening, we
also want a group of people praying for
the upcoming Bible School and other
children’s events. That group will meet
in the Worship Center as soon as the
dinner is over. You never know what
difference prayer and one little
invitation could make!
Sunday morning, July 16 we will be
finishing the Book of Exodus—book of
the redeemer! Set your priorities for
the summer and be sure to include
time to be with God’s people and time
in God’s word.

Thank You….
Dear Trinity Family,
Thank you for your kindness and
thoughtful gift to our family in memory
of Bettie Owens. Charles and Mom
had lots of special times with your
church family. The plant is beautiful.

To our wonderful Church Family,
Thank you so very much for all of your

Many thanks to all of you who had a
part in any way in our Independence
Day Celebration on July 2. We had a
excellent time of celebration and
worship and then a great time of
fellowship. Brother Greg mentioned in
our morning worship service that we
needed cookies and other goodies for
the fellowship and you certainly took
him at his word! My wife commented
after the fellowship that she had never
seen so many cookies!
Please remember that on November
12, we will have another patriotic
celebration as we honor all who are
serving or who have served in the
military of our country. We will
especially honor our World War II
veterans.
The next big church-wide event
before us is our Vacation Bible School,
July 23-28. We ask that you pray for
our school and help us spread the
word concerning it. Vicki Knapp, our
VBS Director, and our workers have
made extensive preparation. We pray
that God will send us a great group of
children, youth and adults to
participate in our school
Now please hear this. Brother Greg
and family have been with us ten
years.
We want to show our
appreciation to them for their
outstanding service among us.
On July 23, we will present to them a
cash gift to be used for a weekend get
away to a place of their choosing. I
know we will all want to have a part in
this well deserved gift. If possible,
bring your contribution next Sunday,
July 16 or by July 23.
May I say a personal word here? I
know a lot of preachers and I have
heard a lot of sermons. Brother Greg
is one of the very best preachers I
have known or heard. Not only is he a
good preacher but he is a good pastor
and administrator. Let’s show our
appreciation for him and his family in a
special way.
In His Love,
Jim Winchester
