A large and diverse fleet, five branches and over 90 staff
members were not things that appeared overnight.
Since GO Rentals’ inception as a family business in 1997 we
have experienced sound growth and built an enviable reputation
in New Zealand. Fundamentally the business has grown thanks
to the passion and commitment of our people, who strive
to understand and meet our customers’ needs by providing
the best vehicles with a focus on quality, safety, value and
availability from our growing locations around the country.
GO Rentals currently operates at all the major international
airports in New Zealand and has formed close relationships
with most hotels in branch locations. The real satisfaction
comes from seeing the excellent service and flexibility that
delights our partners, who make us their first choice every time.
My vision is to continually look for ways to expand on all of
the great things we do… together. We look forward to
working with you.

addition to the current daily rental rate.
Change of Vehicle
In the unlikely event that the reserved vehicle is not available
GO Rentals reserve the right to substitute a comparably
higher standard of vehicle at no extra cost to the client. This
shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle
the Hirer to any form of refund.
Toll Notices and Infringement Fees
In the event that GO Rentals receives an Unpaid Toll Notice
relating to the period the vehicle was on hire, GO Rentals
will pay the outstanding toll fees on behalf of the hirer and
an administration fee of NZ$25 will be charged per notice in
addition to the toll fees.
In the event that GO Rentals receives an infringement notice
of a speeding, parking or other traffic infringement relating to
the period the vehicle was on hire, GO Rentals will notify and
provide the hirer details of the infringement notice as soon

directed to the hirer.
An administration fee of NZ$50 will be charged to the hirer
for transfer of liability of the notice to the hirer.

(approximately 10kms) is allowed.
Vehicle Category Downgrade/Upgrade

Mechanical Repairs
The hirer shall not arrange or undertake any repairs without
prior authorisation from GO Rentals except to salvage the
vehicle to prevent further damage to the vehicle or to other
property. If the hirer has had to pay to salvage the vehicle,
the hirer must inform GO Rentals within a maximum 12
hour period or forfeit the right to seek reimbursement of the
salvage costs.
Responsibilities of the Hirer
The hirer is fully liable for any damage to the GO Rentals
vehicle and third party vehicle or property if the terms of the
rental contract are breached.

general information
Driving in New Zealand
Industry Discounts
Although New Zealand is a relatively small country and
all roads are well maintained, journeys may take longer
than expected as open roads often only have one lane
in each direction and can be hilly, narrow or winding. The
speed limit in New Zealand is 50km/h in built up areas and
100km/h on the open road and driving is done on the left
hand side of the road. In general it is recommended to
allow 1 hour to travel 60km-70km.
Trade Partners are invited to travel with GO Rentals on
their own personal holiday or familiarisation trip within
New Zealand. Industry rates are available and vary
depending on vehicle availability, time of the year and
direction of travel.
Fuel Costs
GO Rentals recommends PriceWatch as a source of the
most updated New Zealand fuel costs, listed by region
and updated every 24 hours. www.pricewatch.co.nz.
Goods and Services Tax (GST)
Please note GST is included in all rates and other costs
shown in this GO Guide.
Diesel Tax
This New Zealand Government charge is included in the
rate for all diesel powered vehicles in the GO Rentals fleet
and is not an additional charge.
Toll Roads
The 7.5km long Northern Gateway Toll Road, on State
Highway 1 (SH1) north of Auckland, offers a more direct
route north than the more scenic SH17 via Orewa. Toll
payments are the responsibility of the hirer and must
be made before travelling on the road. Payment may be
made electronically or by cash at one of the self service
kiosks located at each end of the road. Visit www.tollroad.

GO New Zealand Travel Guide App
The official GO New Zealand Travel Guide is available
