Love and Logic Classes
Love & Logic Classes are coming back to District
30. This year we will be offering the 7-week
course twice: once this fall and later in the winter.
The classes are facilitated by Mrs. Weininger,
principal at Willowbrook, and Mrs. Garber, social
worker at Willowbrook and Maple.
Love & Logic provides parents with strategies that help put joy into
and take strife out of the parenting process. The methods that we
teach in this program are effective with children of all ages.
Please fill out the attached flyer and return it to the Willowbrook office.

From the Library
Parents of students who celebrate their
birthday in August or September will be
receiving a letter in the mail soon regarding our
new Willowbrook Birthday Book Club. Further
information can be found below.
Willowbook Birthday Book Club
Willowbrook School Library is creating a new program open to all
students attending Willowbrook. It is a way to celebrate your child's
birthday, promote the lifelong love of reading and help build our library
collection.
How does it work?
At the beginning of each month, a letter will be mailed to the parents of
students who will be celebrating their birthday. If parents wish their
child participate in this program, they will make a tax deductable
contribution in any amount that will be deposited in the Birthday Book
Club fund. Your child will then be able to choose a hardcover book
from a special group of new library books. A bookplate will be placed
inside the book with your child's name on it and he/she will be the first
one to check it out. When the book is returned, it will be placed into
circulation for others to enjoy. Students will also receive a special
bookmark, have his/her name included on the Birthday Book Club list
in the Willowbrook library and will be mentioned in the What's Up
Willowbrook.
Participation in the Willowbrook Birthday Book Club is optional and
