LOOKING FORWARD
AND RISING BEYOND
When looking back over 75 years of challenges, endeavors and achievements, we believe
that our accomplishments, as a Group, are based on the unbeatable combination of people
and partners, producing optimized performance. We would like to start by thanking the
people – past and present – who have contributed to the success of Malia Group.
Malia Group was built by the ingenuity, hard work and commitment of its talents. Their
entrepreneurial spirit has allowed us to be transformed from a company that began as a
family concern into a conglomerate. At Malia Group, we believe that investment in people
reaps rewards for many years to come.
At our core is a strong belief that mutual trust results in shared profitability. This is the
relationship we have nurtured with our multinational partners. Each partnership has
challenged us to surpass our own expectations. And in turn, these partners have a
demonstrated faith in our business model.
Malia Group prides itself on its strong and transparent system. Our experience and learning
have taught us to successfully manage risk in a region that remains challenging. Our
competitive advantage is the ability to adapt to new territories and new businesses. Our
approach is measured and strategic.
In the next five years, we will continue with our strategy of lateral and horizontal diversification
and growth. We are ready for the future, regardless of regional events, with new projects
and investments.
In essence, Malia Group is the sum of all these elements working together with a unified
vision to keep on rising.
Sincerely,
Jacques Jean Sarraf

THE MALIA GROUP WAY
THE MEANING WE LIVE BY…
The word ‘Malia’ has several meanings rooted in ancient civilizations. In Indian mythology, the letter “M”
symbolizes the glorious and continuous rise of the fiery Phoenix. In Latin, it means to ascend, strive and
be the first. In old German, it was used in relation to hard work and industriousness.
Today, Malia Group draws its strength and inspiration from these timeless wisdoms.
6

SHISEIDO DAY SPA
The Shiseido Day Spa was established in 2001 to provide clients with
a generous selection of over 40 treatments and cures that adhere to
Shiseido’s philosophy and values based on detox, relaxation, boosting
circulation and positive energy with a focus on the body’s Tsubo
points. The Spa encompasses five cocoon-like treatment rooms and
two zen-line relaxation rooms as well as make-up facilities. Shiseido
products are used in every treatment. Make up sessions and bridal
packages are also available.
True to the core values of the Shiseido brand, Shiseido Day Spa
treatments are the fruit of an alliance between Eastern traditions and
philosophies and Western science and technology. The attention paid
to clients, the treatments, the decoration, the design and the devotion
of the beauty therapists are all geared towards the satisfaction, sense
of serenity and feeling of wellbeing of the client.
The Shiseido Day Spa is distinguished also by the Qi Method and
Omotenashi approach to its clientele. Conceived by Shiseido in
1986, Qi concentrates on the Meridan flow, restoring vital energy and
stimulating pressure points to fully beautify the skin. Omotenashi – the
capacity to bestow upon a client a warm welcome – draws inspiration
from the courtesy practiced during the Japanese tea ceremony. This
oriental custom requires total devotion of the therapist towards the
client and has become an art in itself.
Divided into Collections for the Face and Body, our treatments for men
and women are approached as uplifting and rejuvenating journeys.
The Facial Collections include deep cleanse, steam, exfoliation and
mask. The Body Collections are a complete indulgence of the mind,
body and soul and include deep and caressing massage techniques
that allow the body to relax and unwind while boosting lymphatic
micro circulation. Our signature treatment is an all-over celebration
of luxury at its most prestigious. All Collections use hot Japanese
