Best Regards - Village Profile
At the crossroads of New Jersey, people and businesses have been coming to Woodbridge Township since 1664.
Noted for its progressiveness, Woodbridge still retains some of that Colonial charm mixed with corporate office
towers, the intersection of New Jersey’s main highways and travel routes, an active waterfront home to business
and industry as well as recreationists, and thriving downtown business and shopping districts in Woodbridge
proper, Colonia, Fords, Iselin, Avenel and Port Reading.
Woodbridge Township is the oldest original Township in the state. Despite its 26 square miles, the Township–
which is comprised of 10 towns–has the feel of small-town America. Woodbridge offers quiet, tree-lined
neighborhoods, local schools within a short walk and a responsive government focused on the needs of those who
choose to live, work, establish businesses and play in our community.
As Mayor of Woodbridge Township, I am continually seeking opportunities and programs whereby Woodbridge
businesses, industry and corporate facilities can stay in front of the ever-changing economic and business
climate, while better preparing for the months ahead. We are currently offering Woodbridge Township
businesses and/or property owners who own/operate a business and are located within a designated commercial
business Redevelopment/Rehabilitation Zone, Township-sponsored grants and low-interest loans to improve and
restore exterior facades and buildings. We have signed-on to state sponsored programs such as the New Jersey
Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency ‘Live Where You Work’ program and the “InvestNJ” business grant
program–all as part of our efforts to stimulate the business economy and help Township businesses–and
residents–weather today’s economic challenges. Furthermore, our “Greenable Woodbridge” program is in place
to jump-start those businesses seeking to take advantage of national environmental initiatives by offering
incentives for “sustainable” manufacturing and “green” business programs.
In concert with our Municipal Council, the Greater Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce and the
Woodbridge Economic Development Corporation (WEDCO), we welcome you to learn more about our great
Township and the many commercial opportunities that exist throughout our “Ten Towns.”
To learn more about the great business and residential opportunities in Woodbridge Township, log-on to the
Township Web page at: www.twp.woodbridge.nj.us. We look forward to welcoming you to Woodbridge!

Welcome to Woodbridge, New Jersey, the oldest incorporated township in the state of New Jersey. The
community hails as the fifth-largest municipality in the state, encompassing more than 100,000 residents – a
number that just about doubles with the daily arrival of commuting business professionals and tourists.
Comprised of 10 communities – Avenel, Colonia, Fords, Menlo Park, Port Reading, Sewaren, Hopelawn, Iselin,
Keasbey and Woodbridge Proper – Woodbridge Township enjoys the great conveniences of accessible
transportation options, highly rated healthcare systems, excellent educational opportunities, extensive cultural
avenues, first-class shopping centers and delicious dining selections. In addition to these superior facets,
Woodbridge is the site of a progressive economic atmosphere, with hundreds of varied businesses, both large and
small, lining the streets of the Township. The League of Municipalities has honored Woodbridge as the ‘Green
Champion’ for all its work on being a sustainable community.
While Woodbridge strives to preserve its deep history and its small-town sense of living, it continuously works to
progress with the ever-evolving lifestyle of so many great American municipalities.
Woodbridge’s rich heritage began upon the arrival of its first settlers in 1664. Traveling from Massachusetts, the
pioneers put down roots on land acquired from the Lenni Lenape Indians. The settlement chose the name of
Woodbridge, honoring Newbury, Massachusetts Reverend John Woodbridge.
In 1666, the Governor of New Jersey accorded the newly formed village permission to allocate land parcels,
appoint a pastor and submit militia officers, followed shortly by the granting of a charter to the Township by
King Charles of England in 1669 – making Woodbridge the oldest original township in New Jersey.
In the next several decades, the town of Woodbridge grew, with the establishment of the state’s first permanent
printing house by James Parker in 1751, resulting in the first published magazine, The New American Magazine,
in 1758.
With the formation of additional municipalities, including Carteret, Rahway, Edison and Metuchen, in the 1800s,
Woodbridge Township endured land loss – though the community remained one of the largest in the state. In the
face of this, Woodbridge benefited from its access to the natural resource of fine clay deposits, placing it as one
of the world’s largest producers of fire bricks.
Over the next 100 years, the Township opened its first public library (1877) – what is now known as the Barron
Arts Center – built the first U.S. cloverleaf at the intersection of U.S. Route 1 and State Route 35 (1929);
received esteemed awards recognizing its advanced growth and contemporary governance in the mid 1960s –
among other acknowledgements – established the extensive indoor shopping mall, Woodbridge Center, in 1971;
and, in the same year, opened the modern $2.6 million Woodbridge Metro Park train station.
The most recent developments in this burgeoning community include the installation of the new Town Hall in
1996 and the establishment of the Woodbridge Community Center in 2002.
Woodbridge has experienced a number of significant benchmarks since its original settlers came to the area in the
late 1600s, and continues to progress into a future just as bright as its vibrant past.
Known unofficially as the crossroads of New Jersey, Woodbridge stretches over 26 square miles in northern
Middlesex County. Ideally located between the major cities of New York and Philadelphia, residents of
Woodbridge take pleasure in easily accessible transportation options, whether it is by land, rail or air.
Automobile travel is easy through the New Jersey Turnpike and Routes 1, 9 and 287, along with Route 440,
which provides drivers a link to bustling New York City through Staten Island. Woodbridge is also intersected by
the Garden State Parkway, also known to New Jersey natives as simply “The Parkway.” This 172-mile stretch of
parkway spans the entire length of New Jersey, making local and statewide travel trouble-free.
Rail commuters can access both Amtrak and New Jersey Transit to meet traveling needs – both found through the
extensive Metro Park Station in nearby Iselin, with the local Woodbridge station serviced by New Jersey Transit
as well. New Jersey Transit manages the state’s commuter rail grid, which runs 11 lines in three divisions. New
Jersey Transit also oversees a substantial bus network consisting of intrastate and interstate commuter routes.
Nationwide and international air travel is available through nearby Newark Liberty International Airport – just
over a 10-mile drive from Woodbridge. Accessible by the New Jersey Turnpike, U.S. Routes 1 and 9 and
Interstate 78, Newark Liberty, which transported over 35.7 million passengers in 2006, is serviced by
approximately 50 scheduled airlines.
With its location within a flourishing metropolitan region, those visiting the greater Woodbridge area are
afforded access to a number of unique historical sites and museums displaying the vibrant heritage of the
Township. The community is also home to an array of entertaining festivals ideal for the whole family to enjoy.
Numerous historical buildings still stand today throughout Woodbridge Township’s communities, which includes
beautiful Victorian mansions, the Parker Press – the Garden State’s first established printing press – the Barron
Arts Center, the Cross Keys Tavern – a site where George Washington stayed – and original churches that were
built in the 1800s, including Trinity Episcopal Church and “The Old White Church.”
Several museums are situated within the Township, perfect for guests of any age. The children-oriented
Discovery House museum, located in East Brunswick, offers a great place for interactive, hands-on learning for
children two years of age and up. Stimulating the curiosity of museum patrons are more than 100 activities and
exhibits. Also positioned here is the Hungarian Heritage Center in New Brunswick, capturing the culture and
history of Hungarian immigrants through 10,000 square feet of short and long-term exhibits; the 30,000 square
foot New Jersey Museum of Agriculture in North Brunswick, which teaches of the evolution of farming in the
state; and the Thomas Alva Edison Memorial Tower and Museum in Edison, dedicated in February of 1938. This
site encompasses a 131-foot tower, which sits upon the original site of the Menlo Park laboratory, and a museum
teeming with Edison’s inventions, several images and memorabilia.
Downtown Woodbridge is host to ‘Woodbridge Wednesdays,’ presenting concerts on Main Street. The
Township’s Farmer’s Market has also moved to School Street as a part of Woodbridge Wednesdays.
Don’t forget to catch one of the area’s annual events while in town. The Chamber’s Main Street Festival features
300 crafts, vendors and food, as well as games and live entertainment in downtown Woodbridge, while the
Waterfront Festival at Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park in Sewaren is filled with crafts such as jewelry, wood
carvings and pottery, food vendors and entertainment. Additionally, don’t miss the St. James Street Festival,
showcasing more than 300 craft and food vendors, sidewalk sales, games and kiddie rides and local holiday
parades celebrating such occasions as Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day and the Christmas season. Other events
include Barronfest, an artist showcase, Fishing Derby, Fluke Tournament, Youth in Government Day and an
Easter Egg Hunt.
The Township’s geographic position within New Jersey also affords residents and visitors easy access to a wide
variety of cultural attractions and entertainment venues through the major cities of New York City, Philadelphia
and Atlantic City. But one must not forget about the state’s winding beaches encompassing the New Jersey shore,
and both winter and summer leisure activities in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains.
A long day of sightseeing certainly works up quite an appetite. Numerous dining establishments line the streets of
Woodbridge Township, with everything from quick fixes and local restaurants and pubs to fine dining and unique
cuisine with a global kick. And for a good night’s rest, Woodbridge Township is in close range of more than 40
hotels and motels, sure to suit every pocketbook.
Regardless of its recognition as New Jersey’s fifth-largest municipality, Woodbridge Township affords residents
a community that exudes friendly small-town charm, while at the same time providing only the best amenities.
Quiet, suburban neighborhoods, with lovely tree-lined streets, are nestled among beautiful recreational spots,
flourishing commercial districts and thriving cultural channels – making Woodbridge a quintessential town in the
central New Jersey region.
Ten communities comprise the 26 square miles of Woodbridge Township, all offering a diversified housing
sector ideal for any lifestyle and price range. Housing value sits along a wide scope, with everything from
affordable apartment or condominium complexes and modest single-family homes to extensive estates.
For those not looking to invest in the area’s real estate, monthly rentals can prove to be a viable option. Monthly
rental costs for a 400-square-foot studio hits around $750, while a comfortable three-bedroom town home runs
close to $1,900 a month. For the area’s senior population, a handful of independent and assisted living facilities
are scattered throughout the area, all offering superior amenities designed to cater to elderly needs.
Recreation, both active and passive, is plentiful throughout Woodbridge Township. Forty-two park and leisurely
areas, nearby golf courses, a community center, a state-of-the-art fitness and recreation center and a variety of
youth and adult leagues can all be accessed here.
Merrill Park, the largest park area in the community, spans 179 acres of tennis and basketball courts, ball fields, a
half-mile track for walkers and joggers, picnic and barbeque areas, three playgrounds, plus the Woodbridge
Township Progressive Playground and Animal Haven, containing such animals as chickens, ducks, goats and
horses.
The Sewaren Waterfront has a township marina with a boat launch available daily or with a season pass.
Golfers can spend a day on the greens at one of the area’s courses, including Tamarack Golf Course in East
Brunswick, The Meadows at Middlesex Golf Course in Plainsboro and Raritan Landing Golf Course in
Piscataway. Colonia Country Club in Colonia and Forsgate Country Club in Jamesburg, both well-maintained 18hole courses, are also available for members.
Featuring a regulation size ice rink, a roller skating rink, a full-size pool, gymnasium, wellness center, pro-shop,
walking track, lounge and more, the Woodbridge Community Center has become quite a popular place for
residents since its opening in 2002. The center is operated by both the United Skates of America and the YMCA
and is managed by the Township of Woodbridge.
The Club at Woodbridge, an extensive recreation center, is comprised of a highly-equipped 22,000-square-foot
fitness center, sizable studios for group exercise classes, four tennis courts, nine racquetball courts, an indoor
pool and even offers space for its physical therapy/sports rehabilitation program. Retro Fitness Center also offers
the latest in fitness equipment.
In addition to these facilities are a number of sports leagues, including baseball, softball, soccer, football,
wrestling and cheerleading for area youth and softball, bowling and golf for adults. Residents can also fish and
boat at the Waterfront through its boat launch or its marina with 27 boat slips. The Woodbridge Recreation
Department also runs Buddy Ball for exceptional children, United Spinal Ranger Sled Hockey and Wolf Pack
Special Hockey leagues. The Township also sponsors a Bike Tour through the 10 sections of the community, and
a Labor Day Run.
The arts are alive in the greater Woodbridge area, characterizing an array of cultural avenues through several
local art and entertainment venues. Visual arts, musical arts and theatrical arts are all well represented here.
A gem in Woodbridge since its opening as the area’s premier library in 1877, the Barron Arts Center has become
the cultural center of Woodbridge Township and its surrounding communities. Constructed in the beautiful
Romanesque Revival-style, the building is a supreme example of Victorian-era architecture.
Upon its inception as the Barron Arts Center in the mid-1970s – along with its recognition on the State and
National Register of Historic Places – the center has offered the public free art exhibits – displaying the works of
both nationally recognized artists and local artists – programs, lectures, musical entertainment and a variety of
special events. Some of the Barron Arts Center’s popular offerings include Poets’ Wednesday, a monthly series
of poetry readings by published artists, and lawn concerts in the warm summer months – among many others! In
2009, the Artists Guild opened on Fulton Street. This is a gallery for artists to both exhibit and sell. Woodbridge
is also home to the Woodbridge Community Youth Players and the Woodbridge Community Chorus. The
Summer Concert Series, sponsored by Woodbridge Center, Sansone’s Auto Mall and Shop Rite, runs from July
through August.
Positioned on the New Brunswick Campus of Rutgers University, the Zimmerli Art Museum comprises over
50,000 works of art, many of which feature Russian and Soviet art, French 19th century art and American 19th
and 20th century art. The museum also houses a research library teeming with rare books, journals and other
printed material. A number of programs, including lectures, studio classes, tours and concerts, can be accessed
through Rutgers’ Zimmerli Art Museum as well.
And for those looking to enjoy the theatrical arts of Woodbridge Township and its surrounding areas, be sure to
visit such venues as the Edison Valley Playhouse (Edison), the Crossroads Theater (New Brunswick), the George
Street Playhouse (New Brunswick), the New Jersey State Theater (New Brunswick), the Forum Theater in
Metuchen and the Paper Mill Playhouse (Millburn). The PNC Arts Center in Holmdel and a number of cinemas
are also on-hand entertainment spots in central New Jersey.
Whether searching for the perfect home furnishing, a new wardrobe, the highest quality in foods or a special gift,
shoppers can certainly find what they are looking for in Woodbridge Township. Thousands of shoppers visit
Woodbridge daily to browse through the area’s charming shops and large-scale retailers. The area’s shops line
the streets of the communities’ neighborhoods and quaint downtown centers, with popular spots that include
downtown Main Street (Woodbridge), Inman Avenue (Colonia), St. Georges Avenue (Avenel), Oak Tree Road
(Iselin), Route 27 (Iselin) and New Brunswick Avenue (Fords), along with two area malls.
Anchored by Dick’s, JC Penney, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s and Sears, Woodbridge Center comprises 1.5 million
square feet of superior shopping, dining and entertainment. The mall’s two floors are jam packed with apparel,
accessories, sporting goods, electronics, health and beauty, home furnishing and specialty stores, coupled with
several sit-down and fast-fix restaurants, a children’s play area and a carousel. Woodbridge Center has provided
storefront space for the Township’s ‘Greenable Museum,’ which is an interactive museum with sustainable
exhibits.
An additional option for meeting those shopping needs is the nearby Menlo Park Mall, situated in Edison. The
two-level mall is anchored by such stores as JCPenney, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s, Nordstrom and Barnes & Noble.
On top of its wide array of brand name stores are restaurants and a food court, as well as a 12-screen multiplex
cinema.
Woodbridge has enjoyed a lucrative economy since its early days focused primarily in agricultural business. With
the region’s fine clay deposits, it did not take long for the brick manufacturing business to surpass that of
farming. While the detection of fine clay deposits proved to be a successful venture, initially bringing big
industry to the Township, many other businesses were drawn into the area, making today’s economy as divergent
as ever. Now, Woodbridge is home to top industries of healthcare, education, professional services, retail trade,
social service, waste management services and many others.
Acclaimed businesses such as Siemens Corporation, Prudential and Hess Corporation and Bayshore Recycling
have established commerce in Woodbridge. The attraction of businesses such as these is due to Woodbridge’s
ever-prospering economic sector, its strategic location among major markets and transportation routes and the
availability of organizations for unsurpassed commerce support.
Positioned at the crossroads of the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway, and in close proximity to
the busy Newark Liberty International Airport, industrial rail lines and additional highways, Woodbridge is
afforded quick access to the bustling markets of New York and Philadelphia. The area’s great transportation
network makes it easy for businesses to reach the consumer market efficiently and effectively.
Aiding the Township’s already business-friendly environment are organizations dedicated to the well being of
local commerce. Working to attract new businesses, as well as support the area’s already established businesses,
the Woodbridge Economic Development Corporation (WEDCO) has designed a number of programs to create
successful ventures for area entities.
For more than 45 years, the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce has been a significant aspect of the
business community. Boasting a membership of more than 450 businesses, the Chamber has given Woodbridge
companies endless opportunities for growth through networking events, educational programs, affordable
advertising, member-to-member discounts and referrals – not to mention the organization’s legislative influence,
which ensures that each business’ voice is heard on the political forum. www.woodbridgechamber.com
Small businesses, whether established or just starting up, have an excellent avenue through the College of New
Jersey Small Business Development Center. Counseling over 600 businesses and training around 2,000 each
year, the SBDC is important to small businesses in the community. The organization offers free management and
technical assistance through one-on-one and/or group consultations, informational seminars and interactive
workshops. www.tcnj.edu/~sbdc.
SCORE, Counselors to America’s Small Businesses, is also available for consultation, business assistance and
seminars at no charge to those in need of their services.
Additionally, the State of New Jersey provides a full range of programming for businesses in Woodbridge
through the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission. Businesses can access departments
specializing in Business Retention and Expansion, Business Attraction and Real Estate Services and Sustainable
Business – to name a few. www.state.nj.us/commerce.
Excellent education is a staple in any successful community, especially Woodbridge. Top-rate educational
opportunities span from preschool through graduate studies at several nearby higher learning institutions. An
alternative to the area’s public school system can be found through a handful of private establishments, providing
both religious and non-religious schooling to students from preschool through the high school level.
Nearly 13,500 students attend one of the district’s 24 modern facilities. Serving 5,953 students in grades
Kindergarten through fifth, and equipped with 478 certified faculty and staff members, are 16 elementary
schools, while five middle schools, offering education for sixth through eighth grade, are comprised of 3,336
students and 281 certified faculty and staff employees. The district’s three high schools provide schooling to
4,161 students in ninth through twelfth grade. Supplied with 328 certified faculty and staff members, the high
schools afford more than 150 courses in Advanced Placement, College Preparatory, Business and Vocational and
Cooperative Work/Study Programs – preparing graduating students with the skills and tools needed in order to be
successful in today’s progressive economy.
Also dedicated to providing students with the knowledge and experience to prosper in this day and age are
several colleges and universities in and surrounding the Woodbridge community. The Middlesex Campus of
Berkeley College is situated within downtown Woodbridge, while a satellite campus of Georgian Court
University is also located in the community. Nearby institutions include DeVry University in North Brunswick,
Middlesex County College in Edison and Rutgers University, with campuses in both Newark and New
Brunswick.
An additional resource for educational endeavors is the Woodbridge Public Library, possessing a collection
numbering more than 428,000 volumes. Along with the main library there is the Fords Public Library, Henry
Inman Library and the Iselin Library. Free wireless Internet, computers supplied with Internet usage, available
meeting rooms and an array of programs for children and adults.
Expert health professionals in the area are dedicated to the overall health and wellness of Woodbridge and its
surrounding communities. The Woodbridge Health and Human Services Department has a mission “to improve
the health and well-being of the residents of Woodbridge through health education programs and direct
intervention services.” Located within the Woodbridge Health Center, both residents and non-residents can
receive a number of screenings, examinations and vaccines in addition to the facilities further programming and
services.
Four first-rate medical centers can be accessed by residents as well, all situated within minutes of Woodbridge
and offering patients the highest level of quality in healthcare.
Raritan Bay Medical Center, part of the Robert Wood Johnson Health Network, as well as a major clinical
affiliate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and
an affiliate of the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, offers two nearby locations in Perth Amboy and Old Bridge.
Licensed for a total of 501 beds between the two facilities (388 beds in Perth Amboy and 113 beds in Old
Bridge), Raritan Bay Medical Center provides a full spectrum of medical care, including medical/surgical,
pediatric, emergency care, interventional cardiology, rehabilitation services and maternity – to name a few –
coupled with the latest in medical technologies. Patients can also access CareOne, the state’s premier and sole
long-term acute care hospital to receive long-term care accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation
of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), as well as the Center for Sleep Medicine in Old Bridge – one of 17 sleep
centers to receive full accreditation by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in New Jersey – the Center for
Wound Care and an outpatient Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation facility in nearby Woodbridge and Edison.
In 2007, the medical center was designated as a state-certified primary stroke center from a grant given by the
New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. In addition to this appointment, the hospital has received
the Magnet Award for Nursing Excellence.
A member of the Solaris Health System and affiliated with the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School
and Seton Hall University of Graduate Medical Education, the 535-bed acute care John F. Kennedy Medical
Center is comprised of the 441-bed Anthony M. Yelencsics Community Hospital and the neighboring 94-bed
JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. General surgery, emergency medicine, mental health, pediatric care and
orthopedics are among the many specialties offered at this Edison-based hospital, along with the New Jersey
Neuroscience Institute, the JFK Imaging Center and Breast Center.
A stone’s throw away, in New Brunswick, Woodbridge residents can access two additional hospitals – Saint
Peter’s University Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. A designated university hospital of
the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, the 422-bed Saint Peter’s University Hospital is an acute
care teaching hospital boasting the nation’s largest and most advanced maternity program, as well as one of the
largest and most progressive neonatal ICUs.
The main hospital of the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Robert Wood Johnson University

New Jersey, the Cancer Hospital of New Jersey, the Center for Kidney/Pancreas Transplantation, the Vascular
Center of New Jersey, the Center for Digestive Diseases and a Level I Trauma Center.
Woodbridge and the Woodbridge Chamber have made a commitment to sponsoring good health by participating
in American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Relay for Life, as well as the ALS
(Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) - Lou Gehrig’s Disease Walk.
Woodbridge is proud to have a forward-thinking body of government overseeing its ever-thriving community.
The township is governed by a mayor-council form, led by an elected full-time mayor and a nine-member council
who work together to rectify local issues and initiate policies in order to meet the always evolving needs of the
greater Woodbridge community.
The Woodbridge Police Department dignifies itself on providing only the best in public safety services. In
addition to fighting crime in the area, the department affords a number of service-focused and community-based
programs, including the acclaimed D.A.R.E. program, Graffiti Busters and an established Domestic Violence
Response Team. Fire protection is accessed through the Woodbridge Fire Department, which serves an 8.5square-mile area in Woodbridge Proper, Fords and Sewaren. The other sections for the community are serviced
by volunteer fire departments.
Additionally, two informative cable television channels can be accessed in Woodbridge, which residents utilize
to gain details on local activities and events. Overseen by the municipal government, TV 35 broadcasts meetings,

Religious worship has always been a significant part of life in Woodbridge, dating all the way back to its
settlement in the mid-1660s. Several prominent houses of worship, constructed in the 1800s, still stand today as
remnants of the Township’s deep religious heritage.
Built upon a site established for worship in the 17th century, the First Presbyterian Church – known to residents
today as “The Old White Church” – opened its doors in 1803. The adjacent cemetery, constructed in the 18th
century, still hails as the resting place of some of Woodbridge’s original leading residents.
The Trinity Episcopal Church was established in 1860, though the parish was originally founded in 1698. Its
cemetery has documented burials dating back to 1714, with the earliest stone reading the year 1750. Several
years later, in 1874, the First Congregational Church was established by 30 members of the First Presbyterian
Church hoping to return to the original ways of their predecessors from Massachusetts. The church, located along
Barron Avenue, is still in use to this day.
As the years progressed, an increasingly diversified population sprung up in Woodbridge, leading the way to new
religions and houses of worship. The Township has maintained a spirited and dedicated religious community.
The Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce, ‘The Crossroads Chamber,’ is an association of business people,
financed entirely by its members. It is an ‘Action’ organization that is the voice of the business community.
It has been serving the business community for the past 45 years. The Chamber is an information center for
businesses. It works cooperatively with surrounding Chambers and networking groups in order to expand the
networking opportunities of its members. There is also a strong relationship with the local and county
governments.
The Chamber provides many networking events, social events, seminars and business opportunities. Beginning in
January with the State of the Township Luncheon, to the Mayors’ Breakfast in September, the business
community is able to meet with government officials and business leaders. The Fourth Friday Breakfasts, along
with the Leads Group Breakfasts give members the chance to interact with others. BIZMANIA, a Business Expo,
has become one of the highlights of the Chamber.
There are opportunities to meet other businesses in a more social setting. The Chamber’s annual Golf Outing and
the Day at the Races give its members a chance to have fun and do business at the same time. The Chairman’s
Awards Dinner, held in October, is the main social setting for the Chamber. This is when individuals, businesses
and nonprofits are honored by the Chamber membership. The Main Street Festival and Craft Show and the
Waterfront Festival are held annually.
You need only ONE reason to become a part of the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce. Here are TEN:
