August 8 - 10 allistonpotatofestival.com Festival Highlights Rotary Club Parade Friday @ 7pm The Annual Alliston Rotary Potato Festival Parade is one of the largest community parades in Canada. Yearly attendance exceeds 30,000 people. The parade starts at Banting Memorial High School and proceeds west on Victoria Street, making its way throughout Alliston Downtown. See map on back page. Downtown Market Saturday 9-5pm @ Victoria Street The downtown market is a buyer’s paradise. Many of the downtown merchants have their annual sidewalk sales. There is also a mix of vendors selling unique merchandise and lots of great food vendors. Don’t forget to visit the information booth and get a bag of Alliston potatoes. Farmers Market Saturday 9-5pm @ Victoria & Mill Street Providing local residents, tourists and guests with the opportunity to buy fresh Simcoe County grown farm products that are nutritious, readily available and affordable. The Alliston Farmers Market runs every Saturday from 8am-2pm until Oct 25th. Classic Car Show Saturday 9-3pm @ Victoria Street Remember when...? Come out and see some amazing vehicles from days past. Judging takes place in 8 categories with 1st and 2nd prize being awarded in each. The registration fee for vehicle owners is $10. This Car Show is hosted by the Recycled Teenagers Classic Car & Truck Show Club Inc. Midway All Weekend @ Fairgrounds Both young and old alike will have fun at the midway. There are rides, carnival games, food and entertainment. Beer Garden All Weekend @ Fairgrounds Come relax and listen to some great music in the Beer Garden, hosted by the Lions Club of Alliston.
