is an outdoor nature daycamp designed for kids
8-12 years old. Located on Walnut Springs Farm,
50 acres of Osage woodlands and meadows,
kids can expect to get a little wild experiencing
nature first hand.
WildCamp is an enrichment experience that develops creativity, teamwork and problem-solving
skills through hands-on exploration of our natural world. Kids will spend their days outdoors
and “unplugged” from electronics. There will
be uninterrupted, focused experiences – such
as hiking, archery, fishing and nature photography. Campers will sharpen their skills in building
campfires and shelters, identifying wild plants,
and cooking outdoors.
WildCamp includes an overnighter under the
stars! Bring along your sleeping bag Thursday
night for a campfire cookout and then nestle
down by the fire and listen to the night sounds
lull you to sleep. Wake up to a big chuckwagon
breakfast!
WildCamp is specifically designed to accommodate a small group of children in order to facilitate individual instruction and attention. Space
is limited, so sign up early! Registration forms
available on-line at www.wildheartmusic.com or
by calling 573.229.8815. Cost is $120 per week,
and includes healthy snacks and drinks, Thursday night and Friday morning chuckwagon
meals. Kids need to bring brown bag lunches.
Extended Days are available 7:30AM-5:30PM for
an additional $25 per week.
Directors Jan and George
Syrigos bring their unique education and experience to WildCamp.
With degrees in Forestry, Fisheries and
Wildlife Management, the Syrigos duo can’t
help but share their knowledge and passion
for nature. With over 18 years of combined
experience in working with natural resource agencies, youth groups and camps, Jan and George are
creative outdoor educators who love kids!
