Fonzie’s Motorcycle w/Henry Winkler
• Purchase one of three Triumph motorcycles
used during the filming of Happy Days
through an Auction House
• Coordinate cross-country deliver of vehicle to
property
• Create a promotion featuring vehicle and
incorporate cast from Happy Days
Happy Days
• Happy Days was an eclectic group of actors that were
watched in homes from 1974 to 1984 and beyond.
• Henry Winkler (the Fonz) and Tom Bosley (Mr. C) were
the only two actors in every episode.
• Several now well-known celebrities appeared in the show,
such as Tom Hanks, Henry Aaron, Robin Williams,
Frankie Avalon and Lorne Greene, to name a few.
Getting the band back together
• We developed a month-long promotion with
the culmination of the motorcycle giveaway
with Henry Winkler drawing the winning
name.
• Throughout the month we would have Happy
Days cast members in for various meet and
greets.
Meet and Greet Opportunities
• Cast members don’t necessarily like each other, so don’t assume
they’ll agree to “group” meet and greets.
• Actors don’t always stay in character or want to be remembered as
one from their past.
• Negotiate your requirements before putting in an offer and
CLEARLY state them in the contract/agreement.
• Establish strict rules for team members when celebrities are onproperty.
• Limit signing to one item only per guest.
• In the entertainment industry, once an offer is accepted, you are
locked into doing the event regardless of a signed contract.
Other Promotional Opportunities
• Always hire a locksmith when your promotion utilizes
keys
• Don’t overprice your bonus entries
• Audit your paper ticket drawings after each drawing
• Don’t ship items from China around the Chinese New
Year
• If you have a promotion lasting longer than 6 hours, have
backup announcers
• You can never test enough - KISP

• Always check players club number and ID for verification
BEFORE acknowledging they are the winner
• Surround your Promotion - Use themed exhibit displays to
compliment your promotions
• Get your team members involved by hosting a co-promotion,
contest or rally.
• Don’t get ring girls loaded before the fights
• Players need to know they have a chance to win
