Bringing the Fantastic to Life
Come view a fantastic look into the world of cosplay, where fantasy turns to reality with these beautifully made
costumes. This exhibit highlights some of the more detailed, decorative, and elaborate costumes used on the stage
or in the halls of the convention!
Stripping with Friends
Members of the Creative Seasons art quilting group spent a day together losing their inhibitions and stripping fabric! Build-ing on the bare essentials of fabric strips, these playful and fanciful quilts expose their considerable
creativity, inspired by the work of artist Suzanne Gummow.
Eric Drexler Quilt Exhibit
Eric has been in the sewing industry for 32 years, first as a machine mechanic and store manager, then into a desk
job with Sulky. For the last 12 years he has been a National Educator for Sulky of America, traveling the country
teaching and working at consumer shows. His passion has always been Free Motion Thread Painting, actually making a large picture out of thread. With these skills, it was an easy evolution into the world of quilting. Now blending
these skills he has created some wonderful works of Fiber Art.
Recycle Runway
This exhibit is work created by freshman students in the fashion studies program in the Pamella Roland DeVos
School of Fashion at Kendall College of Art & Design of Ferris State University. Students are asked to use recycled
materials to create their own garment inspired by the earth and specifically peaks, valleys and the coast.
