Here we are at the beginning of 2014. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Dottie Smith and her hardworking staff,
NACM Southwest enjoyed an especially impressive 2013. The educational programs were superb throughout the
year, and were capped by an exceptional All-South that left all of the participants ready to come back for more. The
vendor support for All South was unparalleled as well, including a meet and greet with a Dallas Cowboy’s legend,
Michael Irvin. Many thanks to everyone who organized and implemented the best All South ever. Our thanks as
well to everyone at NACM Southwest who continue to surpass all expectations with great service to our members.
Other highlights of the year included Toni Drake, CCE (TRM Financial) becoming the national chairperson of NACM
National, the continued increase in National Trade Credit Report sales and, best of all, an increase in membership.
Our affiliate is a leader among the NACM affiliates in terms of membership, services and financial strength. We are
strong because we have a strong membership base and committed leaders who strive to keep our affiliate growing
and changing as needed in these challenging economic times.
The challenge for this year will be to top these accomplishments. We can be sure that in this New Year there will be
a new set of goals to obtain. I know that with the help of our board, management and members, those new goals
will become a reality by the end of 2014.

NACM Southwest acts as the Administrative Manager for the Gas Compressor Association (GCA). The GCA is a professional trade
organization of manufacturers, packagers and rental fleet owners that are dedicated to the enrichment of its members and their industry
– the products and service of the natural gas compression market. Each year the GCA recognizes its volunteer leaders at its member
banquet.
The 2013 GCA Advisory Board (from left to right):
Chairman Norm Shade, ACI Services, Inc.
Gary Farr, Cummins, Inc.
James Barr, J W Power Company
Terry Baldwin, Enovation by Murphy
Brett Bucelluni, Exterran

David Smoot, Cameron Compression (Program Committee)
Rusty Downey, Cummins, Inc. (Education Committee)
Chris Davis, ACE/Masters Process Equipment (Membership Committee)
Mike Burky, Ariel Corporation (Statistics Committee)
Erin Badough, Exterran (Environmental Committee)
GCA members, through the work in their committees, provide valuable input to the Environmental Protection Agency in natural gas
emissions issues, partner with college programs throughout the United States to ensure a well-educated, well-trained future work force,
publish natural gas industry statistical data and health and safety reports as well as provide industry specific educational opportunities
and a conference and trade show for their members.
NACM Southwest’s relationship with GCA developed from an NACM Southwest sponsored industry credit group. Today, that group, the
Natural Gas & Oilfield Supply Credit Group is an established, wealth of customer account specific information for the industry.
