Dear Guests,
Anaconda 10 is the biggest military exercise of joint
Polish Armed Forces. In the exercise participate soldiers from: Polish Land Forces, Polish Air Forces,
Polish Navy, Special Forces, Inspectorate for Armed
Forces Support, Military Police, Inspectorate for Medical Corps and forces
of Ministry of Interior and Administration.
As an Operational Commander, I am responsible for planning, preparing
and conducting one of the biggest joint operation since several years. Not
only will Anaconda 10 verify soldiers abilities and skills with regard to joint
actions under single command, but also test the equipment of Polish Armed
Forces. The equipment is the result of positive changes in the Polish Armed
Forces and the process of its adaptation to the modern battlefield requirements.
The practical part of the Anaconda 10 exercise will present you the effectiveness of decisions made by Operational Command. While observing the
soldiers, I would like to draw your attention to the unity of actions of soldiers
from all military components.
The exercise will require enormous effort, determination and abilities
to perform tasks in the same time and place. Realization of orders and tasks
by subunits will enable us to evaluate their level of training and preparation
to complex operations during a local conflict.
This year’s exercise closes 6-years cycle of combat systems synchronization. That is why its most significant aim is to test and perfect the command
system in order to keep Polish Armed Forces ready to protect our country
against potential conflicts.
We certainly wish such conflict would never occur, nevertheless, the role
of a soldier is to be permanently prepared for possible scenario which may
appear, even the most horrific one.
I am pleased to invite you to read this brochure which will introduce you to the
details of the exercise and help to have a wider perspective on its course.

The exercise’s goals:
a) To improve the system of command and realization of tasks in
planning and conducting the joint operation in accordance with the War
Command System;
b) To evaluate the abilities of cooperation with authorities of public
and local administration within the confines of support during the
joint operation.

Operational Command of Polish Armed Forces was formed as a result of
transformation of command system of Polish Armed Forces to command
actions and joint operations in Poland and abroad.
Operational Command of Polish Armed Forces commenced its activity
on 1st July 2004. Tasks for peacetime,
crisis and wartime were also specified in
the same period. The main responsibility
of Operational Command is to be in
command of Polish Military Contingents
in missions and operations abroad.
Since the moment of establishment
the Operational Command have been
in command of all branches’ contingents
in NATO, UN, EU as well as coalition missions and operations on three
continents.

Genesis of the conflict
MILITARY POLICE
Training Centre Orzysz:
- Military Police Battalion Operational Group;
- Military Police Manoeuvre Platoon.
The exercise’s conflict has economic and political background caused
by monopolistic practices of Baria - the main exporter of oil and gas to
Western countries of Euroland.
During the first decade of XXI c. the political leaders of Baria and
Monda were replaced by the new government that began the expansion to make countries of Euroland dependant on their sources of energy.
Additionally, Monda put forward the territorial claims against Wislandia.

Epidemiological Reaction Centre

- Epidemiological Reaction Team;
- Health Treatment Team;

In this situation, Wislandia commenced the program aimed at diversification of oil and gas sources that inflamed the conflict with Baria.
Finally, Baltic Sea Pact attempted to achieve the political aims with military measures, making use of Monda forces.
The armed conflict is local, with medium intensification of fights. However, it can not be excluded that the conflict will engulf other countries.

- Radio-electronic reconnaissance and jamming by Radio-electronic
Reconnaissance Ship and Navy Aircraft;
- Replenishing of supplies;
- Combat support (rescue, navigation, hydrometeorological, elimination
of the results of mass destruction weapon, engineering support).
Military Police, Special Forces and unmilitary defensive
structures of state components:
- Special operations (reconnaissance, destroying of objects);
- Counter-diversion actions;
- Convoys protection;
- Forces movement regulation;

- Prevention;
- Special protection;
- Perfecting, within the confines of defense preparation, procedures of
activation the resources of Ministry of Interior and local authorities to
provide needs and support for Polish Forces during the joint operation
on home territory.
