1981 óta a minőségi jogi felsőoktatásért
A Miskolci Egyetem az 1735-ben, III. Károly által alapított Selmecb á nya i B á ny á s z a t i A k a d é m i á t t e k i n t i j o g e l ő d j é n e k . C a m p u s u n k
1949-ben költözött Miskolcra, ahol egy csodálatos helyen, a várostól
viszonylag távol, egy kb. 85 hektáros parkban kapott helyet. A z
Egyetemváros kifejezés is arra utal, hogy ez valóban egy csaknem
tízezer „lakosú” diákváros a Városban!.....................................................
Egyetemünk büszke a legendásan összetartó és vidám diákközösségére,
valamint a két és fél évszázados hagyományaira! A diákhagyományok
egyetemünk ősétől, a selmecbányai Akadémiáról származnak. Az elsős
diákok (pogányok) balek oktatás és vizsga után keresztelkedhetnek
meg, és viselhetik a balek nevet. A tanulmányok közepére való
b e i r a t k o z á s s a l Fi r m á v á v á l n a k , é s e l é r h e t i k a z „ I s t e n i F é n y b e n
Tündöklő Dicső Firma” fokozatot is, hogy aztán a diploma átvétele
után Veteránok lehessenek. Hagyományaink fénypontját jelentik a
Szakestélyek, ami a hallgatók és oktatók ünnepélyes találkozója
díszruhában, gyer tyafény mellett. Aki részt vesz a hagyományok
á p o l á s á b a n , a z n e m e g y s ze r ű e n v é g e z , h a n e m VA L É T Á L ! B i z t o s
lehet benne, hogy később is számíthat valétáló társaira, oktatóira,
hiszen összeköti őket az utolsó szakestélyükön felavatott gyűrű.
A S e l m e c i D i á k h a g y o m á n y o k a t 2 0 1 4 - b e n a z U N E S CO S z e l l e m i
Kulturális Örökség Nemzeti Jegyzékének részévé választották.
Az 1981-től működő Állam- és Jogtudományi Kar sok változáson
ment keresztül, és jelen pillanatban is dinamikusan fejlődik.
A hallgatók európai viszonylatban is színvonalas, modern előadókban
és tantermekben sajátíthatják el a tananyagot a kiválóan felkészült
o k t at ó i g á rd á t ó l , n e m ze t k ö z i h í r ű p ro fe s s zo ro k t ó l . A K a r e g y re
bővíti nemzetközi kapcsolatait, jelenleg kb. 25 külföldi egyetem
közül választhatnak a diákok, oktatóink pedig rendszeresen külföldi
képzéseken, konferenciákon, tanulmányutakon vesznek részt.
A Kar mintegy 1800 hallgatója – kimerítve a Nemzeti felsőoktatási
törvény adta lehetőségeket – öt szakon, nappali és levelező tagozaton
folytathat tanulmányok at: osztatlan jogász szak, munk aügyi- és
társadalombiztosítási igazgatási alap- és mesterszak, igazságügyi
igazgatási alapszak, valamint jogi felsőoktatási szakképzés. A Karon

A Kar hallgatói egyedülállóan gyakorlatorientált képzésben
részesülnek. Nappali tagozaton tankörökre osztva, heti több mint
15 órányi gyakorlati foglalkozáson vesznek részt, ezen órák keretében
megtanulják használni az előadáson megszerzett tudásukat:
határozatokat, ítéleteket, keresetleveleket szerkesztenek, jogeseteket
oldanak meg. A gyakorlati képzést jelentősen segíti a Mintatárgyaló
terem, melyben lehetőségük nyílik bírósági tárgyalások, perbeszédek
eljátszására. Alternatív tárgyaikat a hallgatók szabadon választhatják
meg, így azon jogterületeket, melyek a legjobban érdeklik őket,
mélyebben sajátíthatják el.....................................................................
Az egyetemi élet nagy része, hallgatóink magánélete a kollégiumokban
zajlik. A kollégiumok több, mint 2200 hallgatónak adnak otthont.
A Jogi Kar hallgatói az E/1-es kollégiumban lakhatnak, ahol a
szállodai szintű környezet biztosít nyugodt tanulási, pihenési és
szórakozási feltételeket.

Since 1981 for the legal education of high quality
The predecessor of the University of Miskolc was the school of mining
and metallurgy (Bergschule) established by Charles III in Selmecbánya
in 1735. First, the institution had to move to Sopron, while in 1949,
from Sopron to Miskolc, to a beautiful park of 85 hectares relatively
far from the city. Its name, Egyetemváros (City of University) refers
to its main character, namely that it is a student quarter of nearly
10,000 inhabitants, i.e. a city in the city........................................................
Our University is proud of its legendary tenacious and joyful student
community based on its student traditions of more than 250 years.
These traditions origin from the above mentioned Academy of
Selmecbánya. In accordance with the traditions, there are different
classes of students depending on the number of years they spent at
the University. Young people entering the university ('Pagans') are still
regarded as miserable creatures. After completing the 'dupe' (balek)
tuition, they have to pass an exam. If they are successful, they will be
baptized and will be promoted 'dupes' at a ceremonial student event.
In their third year, students become 'Firma' and join the 'Glorious
Galaxy of the Firmas Gleaming in Divine Light'. After graduation,
they become Veterans. The highlights of the traditions are the
so-called special evenings, which are formal cheerful gatherings,
ceremonial events of the students but the professors are also invited.
Those who take part in the Student Traditions of Selmec not simply
graduate but say good-bye to the Faculty and the University in the
course of Farewell (Valete). All the students touched by the Selmec
Traditions are strongly linked to each other, to the professors, to the
Faculty and the University since they proudly wear the ring of their
profession, obtained in one of the most uplifting event of their lives.
The Student Traditions of Selmec became an element on the National
Inventory of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in 2014............................
The Faculty of Law, which was founded in 1981, has changed a lot
but it is developing dynamically. Large and modern lecture rooms
are awaiting the students, who listen to the lectures of well-prepared
lecturers and internationally known professors. The international
relations of the faculty are continually widening. The students may
choose from the offer of 25 universities in Europe to take part in
education programs, conferences or study tours, while the professors
regularly take part in international academic trainings and conferences.
The roughly 1,800 students of the Faculty – according to the conditions
of the Act of National Higher Education – can study on five different
fields, both in regular and correspondent education. These are the
undivided legal education, the BA and MA for labor and social
insurance administration, BA for justice administration and legal
vocational training for higher education, respectively. The Faculty offers
PhD (doctoral) education of high quality in the Deák Ferenc
Doc toral School of Law.............................................................
The students of the Faculty achieve a unique, practice-orientated
education. In the regular education, divided in sections, they take part
in more than 15 lessons of practices a week. In the framework of these
seminars, the students learn to use the knowledge obtained in the lectures.
They interpret and construct judgments and decisions, solve legal cases
etc. The success of the practical education is significantly fostered by
the new Model Courtroom of the Faculty, in which the students have
the opportunity to model legal procedures and act in the role of the
participants of those legal actions. There are non-obligatory subjects
that can be chosen by the students in order to obtain deeper knowledge
in the field they are interested in the most....................................................
The main stage of social life of university citizens are the student
homes that provide accommodation for more than 2,200 students.
Legal students are usually put up in the building E/1, where they find
perfect conditions for studying, recreation and entertainment.
