75 Programs
throughout Israel
Aiding the Poor and Needy
WE FOLLOW FOUR BASIC PRINCIPLES
– PRINCIPLE 1 –
Remaining true to our founders
We walk a road paved by our forebears
and benefit from their extraordinary blessings.
– PRINCIPLE 2 –
Helping Anyone and Everyone
Our programs help anyone in need —
regardless of age, gender, background,
or religious affiliation.
– PRINCIPLE 3 –
Maximum Leverage
We constantly look for ways to leverage each dollar
through partnerships, matching grants and
one-time capital investments that keep on giving,
– PRINCIPLE 4 –
Dignity and Respect
We respect the people we serve. They are our brothers
and sisters and it is our responsibility to serve and help
them.
This is what we believe. This is who we are. Each of our
programs is defined by these four inviolate principles.
Food Security
Colel Chabad maintains
8 different programs focused on
Over the past few years, Colel Chabad, together with the Israeli
Government and the JDC, made significant advances in assuring
Food Security.
Today, Israel’s National Food Security
Program operates in 24 Cities across Israel.
Our goal is not only to feed these families, but to provide total Food
Security. The first step is to identify eligible families.
Families are divided into three categories:
1| Chronic food insecurity, owing to a handicap or other
chronic situation
2| Temporary food insecurity resulting from job loss or illness
3| Borderline cases in need of help to exit the cycle of poverty and
become self-sufficient
We develop a customized plan for each individual family.
