Shanti Yoga Presents: Sayulita, Mexico 200 Hour Teacher Training!
Shanti Teacher Training is offering the opportunity to do a full 200 hour yoga teacher training
program in the quaint fishing and surfing village of Sayulita, Mexico! Debbi Murphy, director of
Shanti Teacher Training, has been leading a one week yoga retreat out of the beautiful Om
Yoga Studio in Sayulita each spring for the last four years. In response to student demand,
Debbi has distilled the Shanti 200 Hour teacher training program into a three week intensive
course in this amazing setting.
Our program blends contemporary science with classic yoga philosophy, ethics, and history.
Learn the fascinating story behind the 6,000-year-old discipline of yoga and discover how to
incorporate this powerful knowledge into every aspect of your life. Join in a group experience
with aspiring teachers and dedicated students to cultivate, learn and grow. Whether you are
interested in deepening your own practice or you feel the call to teach, the Shanti Yoga
Teacher Training program is committed to the personal success of each participant. Students
are encouraged to engage in ‘svadhyaya’ the Sanskrit term for self-inquiry and use the
program as a significant part of their continuing journey on the road to self- knowledge.
Students will acquire the confidence to communicate the practice of yoga to others with the
highest level of skill while honoring their own unique voice and style. This program will
broaden your perspective of yoga – culminating in an experience that is transformational on
every level: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
The retreat will include a program of eight hours most days of pranayama, meditation and
asana. There will be opportunities for practice teaching in small groups as well as full classes
so that you will come away with a deep understanding of how to teach with confidence and
clarity. Your free time can be spent enjoying everything Sayulita has to offer. Get inspiration
watching (or riding!) the waves while enjoying the abundant sunshine. Seek out the best
fresh, local cuisine to fuel your practice and your spirit. The fee for the program will be
$4500 for shared (double) lodging, or $5400 for a private room. Early Registration (Dec. 15,
2014) is 5% off these prices. Program fee covers all teacher training sessions, required text
books, twenty nights lodging, catered breakfasts and dinners. Airfare, gratuities, personal
transportation, and extra excursions not included.
