Netaji Subhas Open University welcomes all prospective applicants to the portals of the
University. The University popularly known as NSOU is the premier State Open
University in India. The University offers Bachelor’s Degree Programmes (BDP) for
fourteen Elective Subjects at Honours level from three different stream of studies viz
Arts, Commerce and Science through a combination of choice of Subsidiary papers.
Students who are entering the University shall enrich themselves and shall find their
true purpose in this journey through which they shall take part in creating well-being
for the nation and for society.

COURSE DURATION
The minimum duration of the courses is 3 (three) years from the year of registration. The registration is
valid for a period of maximum 6 (six) years provided the candidate pays course fees, renewal fees and
other relevant fees within due time as and when notified by the University.

time of giving enrolment number. If any discrepancy is revealed later, responsibility will rest on the
applicant and his/her admission will be cancelled and no claim for refund of fees will be entertained.
Students are, therefore, advised to satisfy themselves as regards their eligibility for a particular course
before taking admission in a Study Centre.
