JUNIOR GOLF
The summer has begun for our junior golfers at
Old Waverly. June 14-17, 12 juniors participated
in our week long summer camp. These young
golfers learned all about the game of golf along
with the importance of speed and agility. Thank
you to all that participated and remember to
always have your palm DOWN before impact!!
Our next camp will be held July 12-15. We
welcome any junior and their guests to come and
improve their skills.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
It's time to put your skills to the test against your fellow members. The Club Championship will be
held July 9-10. Tee Times will begin at 9:30-12:00. Divisions are Championship, Men’s (49-younger),
Men’s Senior (50-59), Men’s Super Senior (60-69), Men’s Legends (70 and above) and our Ladies'

OLD WAVERLY JUNIOR GOLF FUNDRAISER
Purchase your tickets for our annual Ball Drop July 3rd from the Golf Shop to help support our
junior golfers at Old Waverly. Tickets are $20.00 each with the prizes ranging from $500.00 for 1st
place to $100.00 for 5th place. Thanks for your continued support!

MEMBER GUEST
Member Guest made a great comeback this year with 47 teams competing. Our members and
their guests were treated to a great all around weekend from the weather that we ordered, along with
outstanding food and beverage, along with a great laid back atmosphere to meet and mingle with other
members and guests. This 36 hole 4 ball competition consisted of 8 flights. Within these flights there
was fierce competition to make it to our overall championship on hole # 18. This overall playoff went
back and forth 3 times resulting in a chip off of 50 yards to determine this year’s winner. You had to
make birdies this year to keep going. Some excellent golf under pressure was played! Congratulations
to the team of David Hollingsworth and Becker Sams for their victory. Below are our flight winners.

Lawn and Garden of the Month
A few months' back neighbors noticed a lot of activity in the yard of
Andrea and Harry Stevens on Waverly Drive. After making numerous changes to the
interior of their home several years ago, the Stevens have a new look for their landscape as
well. Stone walks and serene plantings now surround the home whose white brick exterior
pops against the green plantings. Kudos to the Stevens for Lawn & Garden of the Month.
