2015 Senior College Workshop

On August 8th, the Counseling Office is hosting a Senior College Workshop. This replaces the Senior Meeting from
previous years. Students and parents will learn all the about the Admissions Process, College Applications, Letters of
Recommendations, College Essays, Financial Aid, Scholarships, Senior Trip, Cap and Gown Ceremony, Graduation, and
much more. A lunch with the College Admission Counselors will follow with subs from Publix, chips, cookies, and water
for $3.50 a person. Vending machines will be open for anyone wanting a soda. Students are required to attend all
sessions. Parents/guardians only have to attend the General Info Session, but are welcome to attend all sessions with
their student. Balfour will be available during check-in to talk about graduation announcements.

8:30-9:00 - Students Check-In (Receive Seniors Packets and Group Assignments)
9:00-9:45 - General Info Session Multi-Purpose Room (Senior Trip Info, Transcripts, Service
Hours, ACT/SAT, Senior Calendar, Cap/Gown, Graduation, etc....)
10:00-12:00 Break-Out Sessions on Applications/Admissions Process, Essays/Letters of
Recommendations, and Financial Aid/Scholarships
12:00- 1:00 (Optional) Lunch with the College Admission Counselors/Reps in the Multi-Purpose
Room. This will be great time if any of the student/parents want to talk to College Admissions
Representatives/Counselors.
