I.
Emergency Personnel
A. Coaching staff on site for practice, games and events.
B. Certified/Licensed Athletic Trainer on-site for practice and games.
II.
Emergency Communication
A. Mobile telephone with certified/licensed athletic trainer Aimee Burandt (231.679.0600)
B. Athletic Training Room Office located in room #120 OSC (239.590.7711)
C. Administrative offices located on 2nd floor of OSC (239.590.7152)
III.
Emergency Equipment
A. First aid field kits available in the dugout.
B. Emergency equipment including splints and oxygen in located in the OSC Athletic
Training Room in # 115 of OSC.
C. AED located in the dugout for practices and games.
IV.
Role of First Responders
A. Immediate care of the injured or ill student-athlete.
B. Emergency equipment retrieval.
C. Activation the emergency medical system (EMS through campus police)
1. Call 239.590.1911 (provide name, address, telephone number, number of
individuals injured, condition of injured, first aid treatment, specific directions,
other information as requested. Be the last to hang up
2. Indicate venue.
D. Direction of EMS to scene
1. Designate an individual to unlock/open appropriate gates
2. Designate an individual to “flag down” EMS and direct to scene.
3. Scene control: limit scene to first aid providers and move bystanders away from
the area.

Venue Location
A. Take main campus entrance off of Ben Hill Griffin Pkwy
B. Take first left on Loop Road
C. Take first left on North Drive
D. Take first right on Lake Pkwy. East
E. Softball Stadium located to the east of Alico Arena behind Swanson Stadium (Baseball)
F. EMS access via the OSC access road.
