WELCOME TO MY PLACE
We brew exciting, quirky and sometimes just plain weird craft beers. Murray’s Moonboy, Angry
Man and Whale Ale are all good places to begin training your palate before unleashing the
flavour tsunami contained within beers like Wild Thing, Heart of Darkness or Grand Cru.
And there’s a story behind every beer!
The craft beer bug bit Murray when he was on a trip to America. Legend has it he tried a local
pale ale at a roadside diner in California - and thought he’d died and gone to beer heaven! This
experience inspired him to open his own brewery - which he did in 2006 - so he could brew and
enjoy the beers he wanted to drink back home in Australia.
The birthplace of Murray’s Craft Brewing Co was the famous Pub With No Beer in the tiny
hamlet of Taylors Arm (population 50) on the NSW North Coast, before we relocated here to
larger premises at Bobs Farm, Port Stephens. The brewery continues to expand to better keep
up with growing demand. Murray’s beers are now available nationally.
Murray’s Craft Brewing Co shares its home with Port Stephens Winery, the region’s oldest
vineyard. We think it’s a natural fit, so there’s something for everyone.

Beer is a key ingredient in many of our restaurant dishes, and all meals offer suggested
matchings to craft beer and wines. We source our ingredients locally and grow most of our
vegies and herbs - take a look at our gardens located on the walk across to the Brewery.
Adam and the team specialise in cooking handcrafted casual food, with many dishes baked in
our woodfired oven - adding unique flavour. Enjoy!
