Transi!on Program
What’s been happening in Red
Building
Last Tuesday we started our whole school transi:on program. Our 2015 Preps arrived for
their first session and our current Preps, Year 2 and 4 students moved up a level. Teachers reported that the students were well behaved and very excited. A number of new
ac:vi:es were conducted to assist the students to transi:on into their new level. This
year we will be having an UP day on the 9th December for all students. Our new Preps
will spend half a day with their 2015 teacher and class whilst other classes will spend the
whole day with their 2015 class and teacher.

Year 2 Sleepover
Book Club
The Year 2’s had a great :me last Friday night at their sleepover. Lots of fun ac:vi:es
were conducted and it was a terrific experience especially for the children who have never slept away from home. Unfortunately for the teachers sleep was in short supply. On
behalf of all the Year 2 parents thank you to the Level 2 teachers who slept overnight
and all of our other staff who assisted with ac:vi:es. Congratula:ons to Danielle Peacock
for her organisa:on of the event.

The final “Christmas” issue of Scholastic Book Club has been sent out this week. A big
Dingley Primary “THANK YOU” to all the families that have purchased items from book club
this year. Your continued support throughout the year has enabled us to purchase many
classroom resources and new books for the library.
I would also like to personally send a huge thank you to Lynne Wisnewski for her unwavering
assistance in helping with book club again this year.
If there is an item that you wish to purchase please fill in the order form together with the
correct money, cheque or credit card payment by the due.
This issue closes on Friday 21st November 2014.
Enjoy reading with your children.
The more you read the more you know.
The more you know the smarter you grow.
Many thanks
Deb Lowther
From the Office
Please ensure that any money being
sent to school with your child for payments is secured. The money needs to
be in an envelope or a zip lock bag.
Please do not tape money to the notice
as when the money is taken off, the
notice is quite often ripped. Also make
sure that your child’s name is clearly
written.
Wednesday 17th December is the last
day any money will be accepted at the
office. This enables us to complete all
processes and bank all money before
the end of the year.
For Sale
1 loft bed
in as new condition, $400.
