The Philippine Society of Nephrology (PSN)
envisions itself to be able to attain the highest

and service in the field of nephrology for the
nation and for the world.
 It is a dynamic partner of Medical and
Professional Societies, and a foremost source
of knowledge and information. The PSN, Inc.
serves as a liaison between its members and
various support and regulatory institutions.


The society is committed to the highest
quality care for patients as it leads renal
related public health programs,
especially those that are relevant to the
Filipino people.
 It
has mandated itself to ensure the
highest quality of patient care and
produce, promote and disseminate up to
date knowledge, training and research in
nephrology.

We, the undersigned, constituting the Board of
Trustees (BOT) of the Philippine Society of
Nephrology, Inc. in a board meeting held at the
PSN Office in Mandaluyong City adopted the
following resolutions:
RESOLVED, that a calamity loan may be granted
to a member who was affected by a calamity,
qualified as significant loss or damage to
property.
RESOLVED , that the maximum loanable amount is
two hundred thousand (P200,000.00), payable in
two (2) years at no interest.
RESOLVED, that to qualify for this loan, the
member shall be in good standing, is practicing as a
nephrologist certified by the PSN chapter, must
submit a duly notarized affidavit stating the nature
of calamity, the extent and estimate of the damage
and the date of the incident.
RESOLVED, that the member shall accomplish the
application for loan stating the terms of payment
which shall include a surcharge of 0.5% per month
on the remaining balance if the loan is not paid in 2
years.
RESOLVED, that this loan may be given to a
maximum of 10 member applicants per year, must
be given on a first come, first served basis, granted
upon approval of the BOT and subject to
availability of funds.
We, the undersigned, constituting the Board of Trustees (BOT)
of the Philippine Society of Nephrology, Inc. in a board meeting
held at the PSN Office in Mandaluyong City on August 26, 2014
adopted the following resolutions:
RESOLVED, that requirements for a PSN member to be in good
standing based on Board Resolution #5 2012-2013 shall be as
follows:
1. He/she should earn at least 100 PSN CME units annually.
2. At least 20 PSN CME units should be earned from the local
chapter
3. He/she should have attended PSN annual business meeting
for two consecutive years.
RESOLVED, that PSN CME units shall be given to the following
activities:
1. PSN Annual Convention – 80 units
2. PSN Midyear Convention – 40 units
3. International Nephrology Convention – 30 units
4. Local PSN Chapter scientific meeting (1 day) – 10 units
5. Local PSN Chapter scientific meeting (half day) – 5 units
6. Nephrology postgraduate course initiated by PSN training
institutions – 10 units/day, not to exceed 30 units
RESOLVED, that industry initiated scientific meetings will not be
granted PSN CME units.
