1. INTRODUCTION
The CZ -250 Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT)is a natural evolution of the established CZ – 10 50kw range of VAWTs which have been in production since 2007.
The VAWT range includes a number of unique patented design features that give them exceptional
performance incorporated in a relatively simple design. These include:
•
A very low start-up speed of just 1.8 m/s and a very low rated wind speed of 7-10 m/s which
combined with the patented blade system contribute to a turbine that produces exceptional
energy output while being easy to maintain.
•
The turbines also include a number of remote monitoring features via the Scada link
including:
o Remote Performance monitoring
o Vibration Monitoring
o Visual Monitoring via a tower mounted camera
In the UK the turbines will be installed by Windtechnics UK Ltd and serviced every three months
using a supply of spare parts held at Windtechnics Warrington warehouse.
The turbines carry an optional 10 year warranty programme.
