Summa Barberton Hospital is a 311-bed general acute care community hospital that offers
inpatient services in the clinical areas of oncology, emergency medicine, obstetrics and
physical rehabilitation. Summa Barberton Hospital also offers services in the areas of neurology,
pulmonary care, diagnostic imaging and digestive diseases. Additionally, the hospital provides
many outpatient services and community outreach programs including a diabetes education

Summa Rehab Hospital, a joint venture between Summa Health System and Vibra Healthcare,
is a 60-bed acute medical facility that provides a rehabilitation regimen based on the specific
needs of each patient. Located on the Summa Akron City Hospital campus, the freestanding
facility is dedicated to inpatient rehabilitation by a multidisciplinary team comprised of
physicians; nurses; physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapists; and case
management workers. The free-standing, fully-dedicated inpatient rehabilitation hospital
includes amenities such as private rooms with private bathrooms, a 5,000-square-foot rehab
gym, an ADL (activities of daily living) apartment-style suite, and an on-site radiology suite and
pharmacy.

The Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center, a partnership with Summa Health System, integrates
the inpatient and outpatient services and physician practices of the Akron-area’s leading
orthopaedics programs. Currently operating as a “hospital within a hospital” at Summa St.
Thomas Hospital, the 94-bed Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center provides both inpatient and
outpatient services, including surgery, orthopaedic oncology, total joint replacement and others.
As part of this joint venture, the Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center will also offer outpatient
ambulatory surgery at the Crystal Clinic surgery center in Akron, Barberton, Cuyahoga Falls,
Green, Kent, Medina, Montrose, Streetsboro, Stow and Wadsworth.
