Celebrating 40 Years of Vetter Health Services
Flag Retirement Ceremony
Boy Scout Troop #293 came to Linden Estates on Friday, June
12th and a flag retirement ceremony was held. The scouts read
aloud a little history on the flag and the steps that are taken to
properly retire a flag. The field of blue was left intact and the
stripes were cut apart. The residents and their families were
encouraged to participate in the ceremony, and several of the
residents and staff cautiously and respectfully placed their piece
of flag in the fire. After the ceremony we served cookies, tea,
and lemonade. Good conversation was had by all.

Keeping you informed
Linden Estates would like to communicate a
few friendly reminders to our residents and their
family.
 Please inform the nursing department of
any changes to your medications so it can
be documented.
 Please give team members 72 hours notice
when you will be going out of town. This
gives proper notice to make sure you have
enough medication to last during your
vacation.
 Please inform a team member if you will be
returning after 10 pm so they can watch for
you and let you into the building. All doors
are locked at dusk for the protection of our
staff and residents.
 Please do not purchase over the counter
medications for residents if the facility is
administering their medication. Over the
counter medications can have interactions
with prescription medications and the
nursing department must know what
medications the residents are taking.
We are here to serve you...
Special thanks to Troop #293 for sharing this wonderful and
meaningful experience with our residents.

Rodeo Queens Visit Linden Estates
Linden Estates has been very busy with NEBRASKAland Days activities. We were excited to have the visiting rodeo
queens meet our Linden Estates family. Miss Rodeo America even posted about one of our residents, Don Bandy, on her
personal page. Don is a former rodeo cowboy and one of the founding members of the Cowboy Turtle Association, which
is the precursor to the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. These beautiful ladies were very gracious and spent
time visiting with our residents and signing autographs. They also talked a little about themselves, where they were from,
and what they represent. Our residents also had the opportunity to take in a night of rodeo action to see the queens (and
cowboys) in action. We are so grateful they took time out of their busy schedules to put smiles on the resident’s faces!

Linden Court celebrated Mother's Day with an
old fashioned tea party. We had old fashioned
tea cups and flowers with life enrichment staff
wearing aprons. Mothers came out to celebrate
with their family members. Everyone enjoyed
celebrating and reminiscing about having tea
parties and days gone by. Tea and cookies were
served.
