Back to School
The night before the first day of school,
here is a prayer that you can start the
year with. Extend your hands in
blessing over your backpacks.
Email to [email protected]
Bulletin deadline is Tues. 12pm
“Loving God, we are about to head out on the
adventure of a new school year. May we be
blessed with the patience and kindness for all
those we meet. Bless these backpacks, may
they help us to be good learners and may they
remind us that we journey together with you as
we seek to be good witnesses of your love in
the world. We ask this in prayer in the name of
God who created us, Jesus who saved us, and
the Holy Spirit who sustains us. Amen”

Weekly Reflection
21 Sunday Ordinary Time
We should not pretend to know
God or to know God’s thoughts.
God is beyond our understanding as the scriptures remind us.
Our concern should be on trying to understand what
God is asking of us. Learning to respond to the
prompting of the Spirit. Let us look at ourselves honestly and see where we need to grow. As we become
more attuned to the Spirit’s guidance, our lives will
become an example to others that will speak louder
than words. Even with our imperfections, God will
use us as we are open to the Spirit.
When I called, you answered me; you built up strength
within me. Psalm 138:3

Review of Hand Washing: Keeping your
hands clean is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of infection and illness.
When washing your hands, wet them with clean,
running water [warm or cold] and apply soap. Using soap to wash hands is more effective than using
water alone because the surfactants in soap lift the
soil and microbes [germs] from the skin. We tend
to scrub hands more thoroughly with soap. Be sure
to lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers and under you r nails if possible. It is recommended to wash hands for about 20 seconds before
drying. If you need a timer hum the “Happy Birthday” song from beginning to end twice. Rinse your
hand’s well under clean water, dry using a clean
towel or air dry. [View poster’s on Parish Nurse bulletin board
in the entrance of the church].
Join 40 Days for Life, Sept. 24 – Nov. 2 This
is a 24/7 peaceful, prayerful presence outside the
abortion clinic in Billings in which at least 2 volunteers are scheduled every hour, around the clock, to
pray for unborn babies & their parents, for an end
to the fear, desperation, and deception that fuels
the abortion industry, and for grace and healing for
those who are suffering because of a past abortion.
Please commit to being there one hour a week (or
more!) during these 40 days, to pray for those who
can’t even pray for themselves! Go to 40DaysForLife.com/Billings or call 272-2LIFE (272-2543).
