PRESS RELEASE
For Immediate Release
INDEPENDENT PRODUCERS MICHAEL BAYOUTH & RYAN BALL
& FELLOW FILMMAKERS ADVANCE SON OF JASON’S
SLATE OF FILMS
Son of Jason Films founder Michael Bayouth is the son of legendary Hollywood stuntman Ted White, who
portrayed Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, doubled for John Wayne and appeared in
many other films and television shows. Well, the corpse didn't fall to far from the coffin because Michael has
now started his own production company, teaming up with fellow filmmaker Ryan Ball to launch a variety of
exciting film properties.
Bayouth and Ball update us on the status on several of the company’s projects:
Sam Hell This supernatural killer thriller is now being marketed in foreign
territories by friend and fellow filmmaker Albert Pyun (Sword and the Sorcerer).
Albert is casting Sam Hell’s Osa Wallender in two of his films, Tales of an
Ancient Empire ( http://www.talesofanancientempire.com ) starring Kevin Sorbo,
Christopher Lambert, Melissa Ordway and Whitney Able, and Road To Hell
( http://www.roadtohellmovie.com ) starring Michael Paré, Clare Kramer,
Courtney Peldon and Deborah Van Valkenburgh.
Pyun comments: “Pre-sales in these territories are sure to elevate Osa’s status
and raise her profile in the indie markets for Sam Hell. Tales has pre-sold to
Germany, Portugal, Eastern Europe, CIS, Scandinavia, Indonesia, Singapore, South
America, Middle East and Turkey."
TAKE 22 Producer/Editor Aaron Borrocas (Producer of TV’s The Soup) has masterfully
edited a gem of a funny movie.
Some filmmakers burn through a lot of film to capture that one moment of cinematic
magic. For producer Todd Hunter (Chris Pina), that magic proves to be as elusive as a
free lunch in Hollywood. This documentary in the tradition of This is Spinal Tap and
Best in Show takes a hilarious look at the world of independent filmmaking as the
production on a film titled Sequestered spirals out of control and its producer finds
himself struggling with difficult actors, an eccentric director, an angry screenwriter,
dwindling production funds and the mob, among other things.
Heading up a cast of leading improv actors are Rick Overton (The Informant, Eight
Legged Freaks) Dave Thomas (SCTV, Strange Brew), Tom Wilson (the Back to the
Future films), Archie Hawn (This is Spinal Tap) Gary Anthony Williams (Malcom in the Middle, Reno 911),
Rodney Lee Conover (Bachelor Man) and The Groundlings alumni Ben Falcone, Mitch Silpa, Kevin
Kirkpatrick, Beth Burns, and Wendie Jo Sperber (the “Back to the Future” films) Wendie Jo Sperber lost her
battle with breast cancer at the age of 46. “Take 22” was her last film. Sperber founded the WeSpark Cancer
Support Center in 2001. Her Bosom Buddies co-star Tom Hanks says, “The memory of Wendie Jo is that of a
walking inspiration. She met the challenges of her illness with love, cheer, joy, altruism through WeSpark, and
an unstoppable supply of goodness. We are going to miss her as surely as we are all better for knowing her.”
Overton plays Miles Tenant, an out-of-control theater director given the chance to helm a feature film.
Following a casting session debacle, Miles decides to bring in his off-Broadway cast from New York. These
sensitive thespians begin to unravel when next-door neighbor Mr. Finney (Thomas) shows up and reveals that
their shooting location was the site of a mass murder. Further complicating matters is a menacing screenwriter
(Wilson) who keeps showing up despite being banned from the set for threatening the producer with violence.

OUT THERE Insurmountable odds tend to paralyze the common man. Frank Bennett
is about to rip through the curtain of commonality. A year after Frank lost his wife to
cancer, he finds out that his son, Ryan, has a terminal, inoperable tumor. Desperate
to keep what is left of his family, he makes a bold decision to travel deep into the
Peruvian Rainforest where Ryan undergoes an ancient and dangerous ritual
performed by a native Shaman. But Frank encounters much more than he bargained
for in this mystic tale of hope, redemption, and tenacious love. Penned by Greg
Solomon, a twenty-year entertainment industry veteran, the screenplay delivers
passion, grit and edge-of-your-seat excitement with the story of a determined father
faced with the inescapable question, “How far would you go to save your child?”

1013 BRIAR LANE In 2008, a real-life mystery began to unfold when a real estate
company (name withheld by request) discovered video footage shot in one of its vacant
properties. The tapes have been acquired by local documentary filmmakers Jarrod
Rogan and Haman Movafagh, who set to work piecing together a series of bizarre
instances recorded by a man living in the house. Apparently waiting for his wife and
daughter to join him form out of state, the man began documenting paranormal activity
that kept him from sleeping for days on end. The eerie recordings have become the
subject of much controversy among the world’s top paranormal investigators, and are
finally being released to the general public. This first documentary from Son of Jason
Films challenges audiences to explain what happened in the house on Briar Lane.

SNARL is being co-produced by the Chiodo Bros., makers of the cult classic Killer
Klowns from Outer Space. They are also a world-renown visual effects and
animation shop whose credits include such hits as Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, Elf
and Team America: World Police. The brothers will be handling visual effects for
SNARL in addition to contributing their production expertise.
Also attached to the project is accomplished British director Nick Copus, who is
currently in post-production a remake of the sci-fi classic Day of the Triffids for
the BBC. His extensive work in television includes episodes of the highly regarded
science fiction series The 4400 and The Dead Zone.
SNARL is a fun thrill ride that takes place during a massive traffic jam. As the body count rises, a disgraced
motorcycle cop seeks redemption by leading a rag-tag crew of civilians in stopping a mysterious threat to
human lives.
