Endo Soft Instruments
Non-cutting Piezon®
instruments
for cleaning and
irrigating
root canals
The main benefits
of ESI instruments
> Simple - adapts easily to your canal
preparation method
> Non-cutting; conserves tooth structure
> Does not deform the root canal
> Saves time - irrigates without syringe
> Effective cleaning
> Soft tip - built-in safety
> Made of NiTi
The new, non-cutting, ultrasound-activated ESI instruments
have been developed to optimize root canal cleaning and
irrigation while preserving dentine.

Non-cutting
instruments
Perfect obturation
of the lateral
canals in the apical
third after using
the new ESI
instruments.
The new ESI instruments
allow removal of the
smear layer produced by
manual or rotary cutting
files during root canal
preparation and
reshaping.

Does not deform the
root canal
The non-cutting ESI instruments have
been developed to preserve the morphology of the root canal. Indeed, the
design of our new instruments made of
nickel-titanium offers the advantage of
maximum flexibility in order to avoid
any risk of canal deformation, perforation or ledging.
Irrigation without syringe
Many clinical cases demonstrate that the use of a syringe to irrigate the root canal may propel the irrigating solution to the peri-apical region. This may lead to the formation of hematoma or edema and
may cause severe pain to the patient.
The use of one of our units for irrigation (Piezon Master 400, Piezon Master 600) significantly reduces
this risk. Indeed, the irrigating solutions (such as NaOCl) are simply delivered to the apical third
through the oscillating movement of the instrument. In this case, the risk of extrusion beyond the apical
stop is significantly reduced provided the working length has been correctly defined.
Efficiency during rinsing
The smear layer firmly adheres to the canal walls and may create smear plugs which are pushed into the
dentinal tubules. This debris cannot be eliminated mechanically.
By using the new ESI instruments, this dentinal debris can be eliminated due to the combined effects of
cavitation and acoustic streaming.
In addition, heating the irrigating solution by means of ultrasound will increase its efficiency.
Soft tip
A rounded tip allows the practitioner to work under conditions of optimum safety. It significantly
reduces the risk of perforation or ledging.
Stages and method
ESI instruments are used with either manual or rotary files to shape the root canal. They easily adapt to your method of canal preparation.
Caution
It is inadvisable to use the new instruments without irrigation because breakage may occur. We strongly recommend that ESI instruments be used only with
irrigation and that maximum recommended power is not exceeded.

Power
We recommend that you use the new ESI instruments at minimum power. However, you may increase the power slightly as required.
