WEST VIRGINIA’S MOUNTAIN DESTINATION
Canaan Valley Resort is the ultimate mountain
destination. Nestled amid more than 6,000 acres
of protected land, our inspiring West Virginia
mountain resort is cradled by picturesque terrain and
breathtaking countryside. We’re surrounded by trails,
wetlands and northern hardwood forests - as well as
open meadows which abound with spectacular color
in the Fall. A premier choice among West Virginia
resorts, we offer comfortable lodging and delicious
dining in a picture-perfect setting.
Canaan is currently in the midst of a $35 million
dollar renovation that is scheduled for completion in
mid-August 2013. Upon completion, we will have 160
brand new overnight lodge rooms. Rooms will range
from 2 queens to 1 king bed and most will sleep up
to 4 people. There will be two wings, both connected
to the main lodge complex with indoor corridors
and elevators. All rooms are scheduled to have a
microwave, small refrigerator, coffee makers and free
high speed internet.
Enjoy a variety of unique and fun on-site activities
and events including golf (Championship 18hole or putt-putt), scenic chair-lift rides, walking
trails, skiing, snowboarding, and events like Red
Skelton Remembered, Scrap Booking Retreats, Wine
Weekends and so much more.
Our convenient location gives groups easy access
to area attractions such as the Durbin & Greenbrier
Valley Railways, American Mountain Theater,
National Radio Astronomy Observatory, Adaland
Mansion, and Seneca and Smoke Hole Caverns to
name a few. Step-On-Guide service is available and
highly recommend so your group can learn all there
is about this beautiful, historical, and exciting area.
