Tena koutou katoa te whanau. He mihi aroha tenei ki nga whanau e
pouri ana, e mamae ana i te hinga o tena, o tena o tena. He mihi aroha ki a
Matua Hemi, te hoa rangatira o Whaea Lisa, me te whanau whanui. Tena

It gives me real pleasure to welcome Chiquita yr8, Kuini yr7, Maia
yr5, Tumanako yr3 and Te Araki yr3 to our school. They have come from
Auckland and Lynmore and join the auraki English medium classes. It’s
also a delight to welcome Dallas Hawe, teacher trainee from Te Wananga
o Aotearoa for the rest of Term 1.
Whakanomics is well and truly underway. Students are employees,
or CEOs in companies that have designed, costed and resourced products.
Students earn wages when they work and are depositing their Whaka
bucks into their Whaka Bank accounts. The annual market is Friday 8 th
April at 1pm. ‘Multi-national companies’ (our parents) are welcome to
invest in Whakanomics by purchasing 1 WhBK for $2 and then joining us
as we buy and sell products. Items have been made with, for or using
Tangaroa resources.

Top School
On Thursday 10th March,
senior students went to
Malfroy school to participate
in the Inter School Top
competition.
Fun, fun, fun.
Working with team mates to get to the end.
Laughing, falling, getting up
again.
Saying good things to keep each
other going.
Doing our best because we are
part of the team.
Fast, silly, challenging, foolish,
stumbling, throwing, sliding,
slipping.
Couldn’t have done this without
Whaea Lisa and Koro Koro
Waru. Wish there were more
parents to help with this
amazing afternoon. Thank you
big time Whaea Lisa. You make
an awesome cheerleader.
