Engine Overview
In April of 2005 Samsung® began distributing the ML-2550 series printer, a new monochrome system targeted primarily at small-tomedium sized businesses.
The ML-2550 series printer is similar in design to Samsung’s® ML-2150 series (released in November 2002), sharing a majority of components and print features with the previously released system. Among the most significant commonalities these systems share is a
single high load toner cartridge that works interchangeably between both systems.
The ML-2550 is distinguished by the following:
• It ships with a 5k “starter” cartridge
• It requires a unique chip for full-printer functionality, eliminating the risk of end-user intervention
• It has a 266mhz processor, printing at 25 pages-per-minute

Static Control® now offers a PrintdetectTM Samsung® universal
replacement chip for use in multiple cartidges for multiple printer
brands. This first-to-market chip offers remanufacturers maximum
core flexibility, reduced inventory, solid margins, opportunity for
product differentiation, and contibutes to total clore usage. SCC’s
PrintdetectTM chip is the only one on the market that makes true
universal cartridges possible.

Replacement Doctor Blade for use in Samsung® ML-2550
and ML-2150
Along with offering a replacement OEM-like doctor blade, SCC
also offers a complete collection of sealing foams for use when
replacing the doctor blade on the SamsungTM ML-2550 and the
ML-2150 series cartridge.
Normal use can wear these important sealing foams, potentially
causing critical print defects. During remanufacture, replacing the
doctor blade will damage foams that seal the cartridge and prevent
toner leakage, including end, rails, channel and sealing foams).
Customers should replace these foams each time the doctor blade
is replaced, these foams may become damaged or infused with
toner.
Samsung® ML-2550 Wiper Blade
For installation procedures, please refer to technical instruction
SSS™#719.
Static Control® now offers wiper blades for the Samsung® ML-2550 that are designed
to perform with the same quality and durability as the OEM. When paired with
SCC's toner and drum, density similar to the OEM is achieved. The wiper blade continuously cleans the drum of any residual toner and is critical for proper printer
functionality with its dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and, cut-edge quality. To
avoid print defects that can be caused by worn or damaged blades, wiper blades
should be replaced each remanufacturing cycle.
