Dear Friends of the Tekakwitha Conference,
Many exciting events continue to unfold in 2013. Masses of Thanksgiving to honor our first
Indigenous Saint are still gathering numerous people of many cultures in various locations
throughout the country.
World breaking news at the Vatican resounded in all four corners of the world. A conclave
will be convened in March as the College of Cardinals gather from around the world to elect a new pope. Let
us have special prayers for our church leaders as they discern a new leader for the Universal Church.
We are in the midst of the Lenten Season reminding us that now is the acceptable time for a renewed effort to
follow Jesus on this journey. We have our Saint Kateri as a model to assist us along the way to be able to see
more clearly our purpose as God has deigned for each of us. We are challenged to a commitment of a deeper
understanding of our catholic faith. At the same time we are called to honor our cultural values and beliefs for
a fuller and richer spiritual life within Holy Mother Church.
Joyously, let us live Easter and the Easter Season celebrating many new life experiences with renewed
spirit. May you enjoy Spring and all it offers with its freshness and colorful displays on Mother earth.
Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, walk with us.

The Friends of Kateri Tekakwitha Fund donations to date have been invested in CDs as a special restricted Savings Account. This
Special Fund began at the 2003 Annual Tekakwitha Conference. Our goal is to build up the principal to one million dollars
($1,000,000) or more to insure the on-going operation of this National/International organization, the Tekakwitha Conference.
As of March 8, 2013 your generous contributions total: $189,302.96
Through the intercession of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, we pray for all of our generous benefactors of the Friends of Kateri
Tekakwitha Fund who individually contribute monthly, annually, and with the Annual Conference registration. One Kateri Circle
has pledged monthly donations; another Circle holds an annual Kateri Auction during the Conference; some conference attendees
donate items for the on site Annual Tekakwitha Conference Raffle. To all of you, we say, THANK YOU!
May you be blessed abundantly.
You can make a difference.
Be a partner in the mission of Evangelization with the Tekakwitha Conference.
The Tekakwitha Conference is a 501 (c)(3) Religious Non-Profit Organization.
