When co-founder Barry Westwood “retired” from doing sales and
moved back into the office in Victoria, close family friend Heather
took over his route, and to this day, some 17 years on, has built and
works closely with our Mid, North and West Vancouver Island client
base. Heather’s amazing “people skills” and flare for organization,
coupled with a keen eye for style and fashion, make her one of Nova’s
Star Performers, with a great following in the industry. Heather has

At the heart of Indigo Lounge is Elton and Heather Joseph, husband and wife hair stylist
team. Elton, originally from Fiji, had initially set out to become a teacher but instead, coupled with his love of people, discovered he had
a natural talent for hairstyling. Heather, Victoria born, left the traditional workplace to follow her dream of making people beautiful; one
head at a time, to become a nationally published hair stylist. Thirteen years ago the couple moved to the Comox Valley, working
together at different hair establishments to hone their skills and pursue the dream of opening their own salon. Indigo Lounge opened
its’ doors on Comox Avenue in 2007. Choosing the word 'lounge', rather than 'salon', was an invitation for all guests, regardless of age
or economic status, to come in, relax and unwind while being thoroughly pampered. The team of six diverse stylists: Danielle Corcoran,
Laura Morgan, Sonya Slovak, Jasmine Francoeur, Receptionist Daina Arcond plus Elton & Heather welcome each guest and escort
them to the private spa-inspired hair washing station to receive a fabulous scalp massage while listening to the relaxing sounds of
nature. They have an amazing colour bar to blend your signature colour blend and design stations to complete your look. It is interactive
and upscale service, with an easy, comfortable atmosphere. Everything from 'wash & wear' styles to 'red carpet' treatments. Indigo is
a full-service Keune Concept Salon, with two stylists, Laura and Jasmine, in the process of becoming “Keune Certified – Regional
Artisans”. Indigo’s Goal is to ensure you love your hair and it loves you!
