CHILDREN’S HOME MISSIONARIES
“Then I heard the voice of
the Lord, saying, ‘Whom
shall I send, and who will
go for Us?’ Then I said,
‘Here am I. Send me!’”
Isaiah 6:8
CHILDREN’S HOME
MANTA, ECUADOR
ABOUT OUR FAMILY
We met in 2003 through involvement in a college ministry at Armstrong Atlantic State University, from which we both graduated.
During our time at AASU, we were involved in several short term mission trips, both in the U.S. and in eastern Europe. God
especially used these opportunities to reinforce our desire for and His call to foreign missions in our lives. We were married in
February of 2008 and have been serving together in youth ministry at South Newington Baptist Church (near Savannah, Georgia)
for over seven years. Will was ordained to the ministry in 2010.
We have been involved with a children’s home in Las Mesas, Honduras (where Will is affectionately known as
“¡MÁXIMO!”) since late 2010, and have led and been a part of several short term teams since that time. We
became connected to Inca Link through a friend who knew our love for the people and culture of Latin
America. We are scheduled to begin serving at the Montañita Verde Children’s Home in Manta, Ecuador in
early 2014, where we will be overseeing day-to-day operations and administration of the home, providing
spiritual leadership to and building relationships with the children, and working with interns and shortterm mission teams.
We have one son, Emery Caleb, who was born in 2011.
ABOUT INCA LINK, MANTA, & MONTAÑITA VERDE
INCA LINK
Inca Link is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on reaching the 300
million youth in Latin America with Christ’s irresistible love. They do this
through evangelism and discipleship, training leaders, connecting people, and
compassion ministries. They are devoted to helping the least of these. Inca
Link was founded in 2006 by Alliance Missionaries Rich and Elisa Brown and
intern Lisa Merritt. The Tesoros (or “treasures”) ministry of Inca Link focuses
specifically on providing safe, loving, Christ-filled homes to children in need
and preparing them for their future as adults. We will be serving as
missionaries under this ministry.
THE CITY OF MANTA, ECUADOR
Manta is a mid-sized city on the coast of the South American country of
Ecuador. It is the nation’s fifth largest city and second largest port, with a
population of over 200,000. Its history stretches back over 1,500 years to the
time of ancient Mayan civilization, and it is world-renowned for its beautiful
beaches and surfing conditions.
MONTAÑITA VERDE CHILDREN’S HOME
The Montañita Verde (which means “Little Green Mountain”) Children’s Home is located approximately 15 minutes outside of the
city of Manta. It was built in 2006, and is set up to house 15 children. These children are either orphaned, abandoned, or come
from at-risk situations. The purpose of the home is to care for and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of these
children. Inca Link began its partnership with Montañita Verde in 2013.
HOW TO HELP
PRAY FOR THE EASONS
Pray for us as we prepare to go. Pray that God would continue to
provide for our needs. Pray for our transition into another culture. Pray
that God would open doors for us in Manta and help us to build
meaningful relationships for His Kingdom. Pray for our families and our
home church.
PRAY FOR THE MINISTRY
Pray that God would take care of the physical and spiritual needs of the
children at Montañita Verde. Pray that God would guide the process as
new children are placed in the home. Pray for beneficial connections to
be made between the children’s home and individual churches, both in
the U.S. and in Ecuador. Pray for the missionaries of Inca Link as they
seek to reach the 300 million youth in Latin America with Christ’s
