Mrs. Chani Goldstein
Dear Achdus,
Thank you to our esteemed hosts, Kol Ami and Mishkan Shalom, who have once again opened their
doors to our children to enjoy a memorable camp season. Your beautiful campuses have enhanced the
lives of our children.
Thank you to our very devoted head staff, staff and volunteers for giving it your all, every day (and
night!). You have gone above and beyond the call of duty and made this camp season a true success and
kiddush Hashem.
Parents, thank you for entrusting your children with us and for reaching high to utilize the summer
time for growth in a stimulating Torah environment.
Campers! Each and every one of you are truly special. Thank you for making my summer so enjoyable, as without you, their would be no camp! It was a pleasure spending time with you, and I hope that
you keep in touch throughout the year.

Rabbi Akiva Pollack
I
t was the best of times it was the worst of times, So says the great Kabbalist Rabbi Reuven
Goldman. Although he does not really exist, he was supposed to speak to the camp about the
situatzia in Israel. Instead we broke out color war!!!
In my private discussions before camp began with this great nonexistent Kabbalist, we discussed the rest of the staff at Camp Achdus. I will allow you my dear friends to be a fly on the wall and
overhear our discussion..
Rabbi Akiva: Rabbi Goldman, I really need the greatest assistant head counselor in the world. Who
should I hire?
Rabbi Goldman: I asked this question to the Urim V’tumim and it said that you should hire Rabbi
Zecharya Michelsohn. He is a big Talmid Chochom and he will be able to infuse Torah into the running
of the camp. His great experience at Camp Achdus will also be a huge help. Did you know that he has
been practicing saying so for the last six months? He can run learning groups, leagues, the newsletter,
learning contests and sooo much more. He is also extremely responsible so if you want to sleep the
whole day, he can run camp.
Rabbi Akiva: I also need someone to run the camp behind the scenes. I won’t have Rabbi G. Goldstein like I did last year, and I will need a lot of help. Rabbi G. is practicing to become Kohein Gadol and
has absolutely no time to be in camp this year.
Rabbi Goldman: One thing is for sure. You need to hire Mrs. Press again. She is the biggest Tzadeikes in the world and will take care of all the things you need. She can do sheets for the learning
groups, make all the phone calls and everything you need behind the scenes. In terms of the extra help,
why don’t you ask Mrs. Michelsohn? I know she worked for the girls camp last year, but I am sure if you
push hard enough you can steal her away. You will see that you will not be able to run camp without her.
From notes home to purchasing Ping Pong nets she will be a real asset to the camp.
Rabbi Akiva: What about staff?
Rabbi Goldman: Ok, follow my advice exactly:
Yisroel Meir Burger will be the most dedicated Bunk Aleph counselor Achdus will ever see. His love
for the kids and great personality will save the day. Elisha Siegelman is very talented. He will entertain
the kids with his great attitude and he is also a great actor.
Bunk Ches should be run by the following three people. Shloimy Ribiat will spread his simcha to his
whole bunk. He has a lot of enthusiasm. It will make a world of a difference. Dovid Nulman will rock the
boat with his great athletic abilities and dedication to the kids. Simcha Press will come a little late to

camp because of the Zman but it is still worth it. He has a mean fastball and a great singing voice. He is
also very responsible. His mother even lets him drive.
For Bunk Daled you will need more than a counselor. You will need an EMT. Michel Silverstein is
the perfect guy. He will not only run his bunk well but he will also heal all the children, give them water
to drink and talk about how much better Eretz Yisroel is than America. Moishe Couzens will be a big
asset. He may leave in middle of camp for a couple of weeks but it’s worth it. He’s a real cool cat. You
need one of those in Camp Achdus. Dave Lubell also should run bunk Daled. He is great on a personal
level with the campers and some of them will sit and schmooze with him the entire lunch. Binyomin
Asiag is Yummy. He can really connect with the Achdus campers and will be there whenever you need
him.
Bunk Vov is tricky. The campers are really cool and you need a cool counselor. Yaakov Horwitz is
great. He is the coolest and most physically fit guy in the world. His positive attitude will spill over to
even the toughest campers. You may have to move him to Bunk Suf, though, in middle of the summer. It’s
just not fair that only one bunk should have him.
Now this is gonna be a tough one. Pinny Elbogen is one of the 36 hidden Tzadikim in each generation. You must try to recruit him again. He is a big Talmud Chochom, a great public speaker and a talented camp counselor. Now that I think about it there is another big tzadik who you should hire. His name
is Akiva Fishfeld. He is a real straight forward type of guy and has finished Bavli a few times already.
And even if he hasn’t, hey, they don’t say those stories about you and me. I just heard great news, by the
way. Moshe Goldman may be available to be a counselor in camp this year. He had a phenomenal year
in Yeshiva and scouts are saying that he has the potential to be the next Reb Moshe Feinstein. Grab him
now when he is still relatively unknown.
Now I want you to know now that you will have some issues with swimming this year. The children
won’t be ready to swim right away due to the holy Sefiros. It is for that reason that the lifeguard I want
you to hire will not be available until the second week of camp. Yisroel Oshinsky will be shteiging in
Miami but when he comes back he will take over the swimming.
You should know that I saw in your future a pod. Not a musical one but one that hold sports equipment. You will need someone responsible and likeable to run it. Speak to Avromi Ungar. He is very
sweet on the outside but oh is he tough.
Rabbi Akiva: Thank you, great Kabbalist, but I feel like something is missing. We need that special
spark that really makes camp happen.
Rabbi Goldman: Oh you are probably referring to Yehuda 10&baum. Sorry he is learning in Yeshiva and can’t come. Although if you really want I can put a call into his Rosh Hayeshiva and get him to
come for the last 2.2 weeks.
Rabbi Akiva: Yeah, that would be great. I am still nervous though.
Rabbi Goldman: Ask, my child, and I will help thee.

Rabbi Akiva: I am just nervous to be running the camp all by myself all the way in Elkins Park. I
mean what if we get attacked by bears or something?
Rabbi Goldman: Fear not my child. The holy Rebbetzin Goldstein will come almost every day to
make sure everything is running smoothly. She is a great camp director and will make your job much
easier.
Rabbi Akiva: Thank you great Kabbalist. I am sure this will be the best year of Camp Achdus ever.
And so we did.
And that is why we had the greatest Summer in Camp Achdus history.

Rabbi Zecharya Michelsohn
L
et me tell you a story.
Once upon a time, there were two brothers. They came home from yeshiva one summer and
decided to open a camp. They convinced a few parents in the neighborhood to send their
kids, not knowing what to expect. But something amazing happened. That small group of
boys playing in the brothers’ parents’ backyard had such an unbelievable summer that year that they
decided to make a camp again the next year.
They quickly outgrew the little backyard. Each year, the camp got a little bigger and the trips got a little better. The two boys’ feelings of accomplishment kept them going year after year.
Sixteen years down the road, and look at this empire they have built. Camp Achdus stands strong and
proud, with a reputation that speaks and recruits for itself! R’ Tuvia, you may not come so often to see
your handiwork, but all of us, from the head staff to the youngest camper, owe you our appreciation for
all that you have done. Even when the circumstances don’t allow it, you have not given up on us. You
still continue to provide support for camp, before, and throughout the summer, in so many different
ways...from Maytav to counselor times at your house. As for your rebbetzin... I can only quote an old Chinese proverb, “there is only so much one person can do.” Well, it’s amazing how much one person can
do. Mrs. Goldstein, thank you for everything, from start to finish. There would be nothing to write
about without the months and enormous amount of work you do. Thank you so very much for literally
making camp happen once again.
There was one brother, however, who was really missing this summer. R’ Gedalia, we definitely
missed you, and it is crazy to think of Camp Achdus without you. Hope you are enjoying those Diamondbacks. Aren’t they the hottest team around? ;)
We are blessed with an incredibly beautiful and spacious campus. The grounds we use are a gift from
Shamayim, and we owe a big debt of gratitude to our benevolent hosts. Thank you, Ms. Elaine Stevens
and Kol Ami for opening your doors to us.
When I think of Achdus, I think of a lot of things. Avocados were never one of them. Neither were
smashing televisions. What in the world??? But, in all seriousness, Rabbi Pollack, it was an amazing experience working under you this summer. I don’t understand how you keep going from one this to the
next, getting everything done, and then keep on going. From schedules to trips to running camp, shuttling to Rhawnhurst for every staff meeting, going on overnights and camping trips but coming back the
next morning to run camp all without losing any steam... writing weekly newsletter articles...it does not
end. But that wouldn’t be soooooooo crazy, if not for the fact that camp is “only” your “side-job”. Aren’t
you running a couple of other big organizations at the same time, in between texts? We wouldn’t even
notice, if you didn’t have to slip out to Lakewood for that occasional meeting.

Camp Achdus
R a b b i Z e c h a r ya M i c h e l s o h n
How was working in the boys’ camp? I thought it was terrific! (Ouch!) Tamar, you made such a huge
difference in camp! It would be chaos if you weren’t there. I’m not even saying that because I am biased.
Thank you, thank you, and thank you! Thank you for giving me up for so much of your time, while I
worked on camp! By the way, did anyone ever tell you that you make the perfect combination of secretary-disciplinarian-social worker-administrator? So if you’re ever looking for a job...
A special thank you for providing the delicious baked goods each week, so that everyone who came to
learn on Sunday mornings left with a sweet taste in their mouths.
Mrs. Press, thank you for working so hard and taking care of all the details, from parsha sheets to
booking trips.
Yehuda Tenenbaum, thank you for being someone who is not only geshmak and full of ruach, but always there to lend a hand or two, taking care of everything that needs to be done. No t is left uncrossed,
no i undotted. Camp, canteen, cantata, challah, trips, Tisha B’av, yearbook, and more; “Consider it done”
should be your motto. It would be much better if only you could come to camp like a week before camp
starts, and if you had a license (haha) but you’re still ok. As long as you keep baking those cookies. And
you should consider doing G-d Bless America for the majors. You know they pay much better ;)
Mrs. Lipsky, the projects you come up with are so geshmak. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
Counselors are the backbone of camp, so if campers are walking home happy, good job. Counselors,
you did a great job. It was clear from the abundant ruach that permeated camp.
Five weeks and not one complaint about leaving camp at 5? Yisroel Meir, Michel, Akiva, and Yehuda, it was great spending cartime with you. I really will miss your company.
Simcha, thanks for being a fantastic chavrusa, and for helping recruit guys for Yeshivas Bein Hazmanim. You throw a mean fastball. Does R’ Shmuel know about this?
I want to thank so many more people, because I really owe a lot of people some hakaras hatov. The
only problem is that with every minute it’s getting closer to the morning and I don’t like being really
tired during the day. You do? That’s strange.
Guys, We packed eight weeks of fun into five. It has been an incredible summer.
Enjoy the yearbook, keep those memories alive! I want to see every one of you next year, in Achdus
Yerushalayim, b’ezras Hashem.
Keep in touch,
Zecharya Michelsohn

about that. What about To-Baum or not-To-Baum? Nope. I already wrote about that also. I
guess I’ll have to talk about camp. Its so amazing. I've only been in camp for 11 days but it

Sweet potatoes… Boating… Bus rides.... fluffer-nutter-sandwiches…
The memories go on and on. I’m so privileged to work with such an amazing staff.
Starting from the top, Rebbetzin Goldstein, thank you for such an amazing opportunity. Although my time spent here in Philadelphia is short, I feel so at home here.
With your crazy-round-the-clock-never-going-to-sleep-running-two-camps-simultaneously -whileraising-a-family-full-time attitude, I know it’ll never get boring over here. I hope I didn’t annoy you too
much. I’m still waiting for my award for being the most annoying helping staff member.
Rabbi Akiva Pollack, wrapping toilet paper around your car is only the beginning of our adventures together. With your chilled-can-do attitude anything is possible. From saying one for a long
time to smashing TV’s, nothing ever gets boring here in Camp Achdus with Rabbi Akiva around. I hope I
met up to your expectations as a staff member. Then again, I’m not even certain what my position is. I’m
really looking forward to working with you in the future, in or out of camp.

The Bunk Aleph Groove
By: Yisroel Meir Burger
If you’ve been in bunk aleph for even a day you can feel it. If you’ve passed by the bunk table for but a moment you can feel the sensation oozing out. It’s what I call, the bunk aleph
groove. it’s a concoction of extreme cuteness, hilarious confusion and utter cheerfulness. An
infusion created by the unique and separate ingredients added by all the different campers residing in bunk aleph. The recipe is not simple. It involves the slow and careful coaxing of fourteen
different personality types into the infusion that they become.
First Simcha Zissel Silverman’s trademark cheerfulness and fun is added to Ruvie Bettouns’
intense davening and hyper playfulness. Then you slowly stir in Yaakov Bell’s fierce shtieging
and competitiveness along with Yissochor Dov Duskis’ attentiveness and ready helpfulness. After
you’ve followed these directions, you must put in a double portion of Polin power. One portion
Motti Polin’s chillaxed laxness and one portion Shmuel Polin’s excited eagerness. Next goes in a
rather large serving of Nison Rosen’s studious seriousness and a-cute observations, put in together with Daniel SchainBaum’s careful investigative attentiveness. Then to add the all important
spice to our infusion, one must include Pinchas Shuartzbaum’s cool calmness that keeps things
chilling the chilaxed way, together with Yosef Nisenfeld’s carefully thought out sympathy and
warmth. Thereupon one will reach the point where it is time for the furious kneading in of some
of Tzvi Bril’s fierce davening and fervor for sports, with the simultaneous kneading of Yaakov
Moshe Goldstein’s decisiveness and sensitivity. Now for the last ingredients one must carefully
pour in Dovid Goldstien’s hoard of knowledge and his need for fairness concurrently with the active ingredient that is Yisroel Shuartz’s bubbling energy and passion for most everything we do
in camp.
Now, I must warn you, such a concoction is intense, the infusion of these ingredients packs
a powerful potion, so be cautious. However the benefits of this potion are innumerable and far
worth the minute risk. The combination of these ingredients can do amazing things, can make
powerful impacts and can create worlds of unbelievable beautiful growths of every kind. Exaggeration you accuse me of? Why I’ve seen it!

Camp Achdus
Dear Bunk Daled,
Hey guys it’s your awesome counselors! We had an amazing year with you guys, and we had so much fun
whether it was sports, bentching, the Thunder game, swimming, and color war. Here's a little something about
each guy. If we don't mention something about you that you thought we should have mentioned, please forgive
us because we're writing this right after Tisha B'av and we're not 100% on Planet Earth now (if you don't understand you will once you fast on Tisha B'av).
Shua Bauminger– too bad we only had you for the first half, had an awesome time on bus, and he’s such a
genius he learnt with bunk Vuv in learning groups! Keep it up!!
Bell Bros- always looking out for each other and making sure that the other one has a good time
Daniel Brenner- always polite, helpful, and no one really knows this besides me but he's top 5 craziest kids
in camp in a awesome way
Farage, Gola, Lubell, and Schwartz- the club behind the trees and backstage, the biggest chillers in camp.
Yehuda Galen- even though he wasn't in color war, he was always noticed because of his awesome ruach
and attitude and maybe because he always took my snacks ;-)
Refael Rachamim Ganz-makes my job easier because he follows the rules and always listens.
Betzalel Goldstein- makes up for not playing sports by helping the staff with everything like pumping huge
red balls forever!
Chananya Halpern- too bad he only came for 2nd half, always giving it his best in everything, and is so willing to make other people happy for example giving them their bus seat even if his counselor says not to ;-)
Adam Harari- the best chavrusa pair this year was him and Eitan, they learned so much it was crazyyy!!! ;-)
best magician assistant ever
Yonatan Hassidim- hope he forgives me for canceling his run in color war, but he has to hope I forgive him
for taking me and Ribiat on a pointless 10 minute walk to “get his bathing suit” :-)
Simcha Kaplun- best bus mate, believes everything his counselor tells him like when he got married, all his
jobs... best Phillies fan and he hates the Orioles!!
Chaim Shimon Lando- always says oh my gosh, and is the tallest Bunk Daled guy ever!!
Chaim Leib Miller- so modest and always has amazing opinions on everything! so helpful thank you
Yehuda Nadav- he's underrated for his listening whether it's bentching, color war, especially in sports, best
2nd baseman and has the best “eye” when he’s at bat
Avromi Pollack- I know you would rather be with your father ;) but I really had a blast at the game with you
Chaim Reiner- great guy, awesome right fielder and doesn’t care if other people throw the ball first (actually
he gives the ball to other people) and if they're in the batting order before him
Tuvia Rosen- always jumping on my back, and is the guy who always gives all of his effort in everything
Yisroel Weinberger- too bad he only came for 2nd half, awesome shortstop, best former neighbor
Had a great year with you guys. We'll miss you so much during the school year. Hope to see you next year!
Sincerely,
Moishe Couzens, Michel Silverstein, Dave Lubell, & Binyamin Asiag

The most “Lebedika” Bunk
It is Motzoei Shabbos, and I am typing this bunk article on the Goldstein’s computer before I disembark to NY. I am going to miss all you guys. I had such a great time with all of you. I hope you have
an enjoyable rest of the summer and I can’t wait to see you next year in Camp Achdus 2015! Good luck
in the upcoming school year!
Your most classic lines:
Edan Bitas- “Could we play volleyball?”
Fitzy Bottoun-“Hey! Fishberger! I’m the counselor not you.”
Yisroel Kelemer-“You can’t make me play. This isn’t school.”
Aharon Nulman- “Sh’koich, uh…yeah what?”
Dani Horwitz – “Whyyy?”
Motty Kolodny- “Don’t worry; everything is fine.”
Eitan Goldman- “Fishfeld, you’re sooo yeshivish.”
Oriel Gola- “Well you can’t make me.”
Dovid Shmulevich- “I’m mot learning today, and you can’t make me.”
David Bril- “We always play volleyball. Why can’t we play soccer or hockey?”
(Tzvi Shmulevich- “I’m your camper.”)

Translation:
Camp Achdus 2014
Michel Silberstein
R
eb Zecharya Michelsohn shlita asked me
to write an article but I can not write an
article so I'll just tell what happened
since that three days before I boarded
the plane I found out that Camp Achdus wants
me!!! So after I arrived in Philadelphia not before in
the airport they wanted to put me in jail and I still
do not understand why so what if I have a passport
which was made today??? I am innocent civilians
from Gaza and I served three years in POF palestinian offense forces. Why would you put me
in jail? This was 2004.
10 years later I was released in the summer of
2014 from prison and continued on my way to Philadelphia! I learned what July 4th is. There is fire in
the sky just like Israel just a little different because
in Israel it’s called the Iron Dome and here you call
it fireworks.
Then they took me to the basement of the Nisenfelds. Then they took me to eat Cholent in the
Ungar’s house. The next step was Sunday when
Mrs. Goldstein gave us a short briefing: “Your life is
on the floor of the pantry. Eat what you see but
watch what you eat and watch out because I’m always right.” Soon I left the basement of the Nisenfelds to go to the basement of the Simpsons, where
we were told we were supposed to sleep until I discovered that I sleep more out of my bed then in.
Next Monday I went to Kol Ami. How I was disappointed to discover that the Michelsohn couple didn’t let me drive their car and I don’t understand.
When I was three, I was the pilot of the Boeing 777
at Air Malaysia. Moreover, like all Israelis, I can say I
can fly an F16. What? I can’t drive a little Hyundai?”
We got to Camp. I guess they wrote enough
about the Camp itself so I’ll skip to continue life
Memories 2014
after camp. We went back to the Northeast in the
Hyundai and again the Michelsohns got stuck in
traffic. But do not worry. G-d willing next year will
be no more traffic jams because I dug a tunnel in
the basement of the Simpsons to Kol Ami with state
of the art technology that I brought with me right
from the Gaza Strip. We arrived in the Simpsons’
basement and then, to my surprise, Mrs. Michelsohn [Rebbetzin Mike] turns to me and in a sinister
voice tells me “Get out my car”. As everyone
knows, the rule is you listen to the Baal Habayis
about everything except for leaving (because that
you need to figure out by yourself). When it comes
to the Balas Habayis, when she says leave, get out.
But no fear, I got her back. “Get out of my driveway”, I said to her.
Staying faithful to the rules of Mrs. Goldstein
that counselors are required to shower daily, I take
a shower and then go to the Goldsteins’ to help her
because I believe in the rule that those who help
more get to stay in her house. And then we eat dinner, prepared with much devotion each night by
someone else. Now I have the opportunity to thank
them for that that they always gave us enough food
to feed an army. It's good because the army is hungry. You should be blessed!!!!
Yours truly,
Multi Medic [Rabbi EMT] Michal Silberstein,
straight from the small village of Kiryat Sefer which
is next to Ramallah, West Bank, Israel
PS: I would request each of you to pray for my
brothers and sisters soldiers with the IDF who protect us with their body all year and especially at this
time!!! Hashem should protect them.
Thank you in advance!

Alma Maters
t h r o u g h t h e ye a r s
2013 (Tune: Veha’er)
Achdus all around in a camp that is so great
Unlimited fun that connection to create
A staff as good as this is second to none
And we have campers who are truly number one
A summer of my life it isn't hard to see
I'm an Achdus boy and thats for eternity
The friendships that I made, so precious so dear
Thank you Camp Achdus, I’ll be back next year
2012 (Tune: Chavivin)
Sitting in my classroom’s fine / My rebbi’s teaching, voice so divine
I start to daydream, my mind starts to soar / About Camp Achdus where I’ll be this summer
Coming off the bus, I wonder what will be / It’s in a shul this year, what will I see?
I have a feeling it will be all right / ‘cuz I’m in Camp Achdus, the future’s lookin bright!
A summer of my own, a new world I call home
My day is filled with ruach, such fun I’ve never known.
As I wipe away a tear, I can picture I can hear
All these memories all these moments, why can’t it be all year.
In my heart I’ve made a friend, from forever till the end
And my counselor who always showed me, just who I really am.
There’s Achdus in the air, all the staff that truly care
Camp Achdus thank you for all you’ve done this year
Acharone acharone chaviv / R’ Tuvia for all you truly did
There is so much that we can thank you for / But you should know we’ll be back for more!!!!
A summer of my own...
2011 (Tune: Nekadeish)
Achdus, in my heart / We will never be apart,
13 years, what a ride / Filling me with warmth inside
Achdus, what can I say / Oh, how much I grew each day
I can’t wait to be back next year!!
Achdus days go by so fast / How I wish that they would last,
Though the end is nowhere near / We’ll say goodbye until next year
Achdus, I’m here for you / An Achdus camper through and through
I can’t wait to be back next year!!
36
Camp Achdus
2010 (Tune: Uvenei)
Achdus, oh, can’t you see, your name means UNITY!
We’re standing here as one, in perfect harmony,
Having fun with all my friends, it’s a dream that never ends,
Thank you for 12 amazing years!
2008 (Tune: Nachamu)
And when the summer’s gone, it’s just too much to bear
Achdus is in my head, all throughout the year
Gedalia’s chizuk and his push for GPS
Helped us all to reach our very best!
The greatest campers and the staff one-of-a-kind,
The ruach set me free, grumples left behind
So on a boring day, when summer’s nowhere near,
The memories will warm the winter air
2007 (Tune: Ki B’simcha)
Waking up, one morning. / My alarm clock ringing loud.
I look outside my window, / Snow is on the ground.
I put my head, back in my bed, / With a stretch and one big yawn.
No school I say, I’ll sleep today, / And dream of days long gone.
Achdus summers, stay with me a lifetime
Achdus summers never fade away.
The friendship and the ruach will linger on forever.
Achdus summers live on every day.
Achdus, you uplift me with your PUMPING Achdus magic.
You keep-me-warm, for all eternity.
No matter where I’m standing, we will always be together.
One big happy Achdus family.
I open up my eyes again, / I’m in different place.
The snow is there, still coming down, / A tear rolls down my face.
But as I peer up at the clouds, / A ray of sun shines through.
I know it’s just a few more months / Till I come back home to you!
Achdus summers, stay with me a lifetime...
Oyoyum oyoyoyum
ALEF CHES, DALED, VUV SUF,
Camp Achdus, we love you so very much!
R’ Gedalia... R’ Tuvia... thanks for another great year—
Even though the end is nowhere near.

A Message from R’ Zevi Carlebach
Hey Campers and Staff,
Wow, it has been a while!!! I am waiting so long for you guys to come to
Yerushalayim, why aren’t you hear yet? I guess we need to try harder.
I’m sure you had a wonderful summer this year, even though (or because) I was not there.
Thank you to the wonderful staff who work tirelessly to make Camp
Achdus the great place that it is.
Thank you to our precious donors, without you we would have no camp,
no words can express our tremendous gratitude.
Thank you Rabbi Tuvia Goldstein, for just being a great friend.
Rabbi Pollack, it was so nice to see you a few weeks ago, when is the
next RAJE trip to Yerushalayim?
Keep in touch,
Have a great year,
Can’t wait to see you all in Yerushalayim very soon

BLUE TEAM THEME SONG (SAVLANUS)
T.T.T.O.- Ain Aroch (Baruch Levine)
Low 1
Come and Listen, As I tell you a story
About a mighty king, in all his glory
he had many people, working for his cause
until one day, a man broke the laws
Low 2
When the king heard this, his advisers he called
to ask what to do, with the worst of them all
they all told the king, he should be killed
but the king said no way, no blood shall be spilled
High 1
throughout our days, this is the key
to help our lives be open and free
just take a step back, and as life moves on
you’ll be happier if you just stay calm
High 2
so as life moves on, take-a-deep look inside
and work on yourself, use this as your guide
savlanus is how we can change our ways
improving ourselves day by day
Low3
The king decided to patiently wait
to see if this rebel could fix his fate
He’ll give the man a few more days
in the hope that he will fix his ways
Low 4
Despite the disrespect, that this rude man displayed
The King did not react, in an unthought out way
Give the man a chance, to atone for his sins
and with that, his new life begins
BACK TO HIGH 1 AND 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
low 5
as time went on a change could be seen
slowly but surely, albeit unforeseen
he started to grow, strong and fervent
and soon became the kings top servant
low 6
when the man explained about his journey
he said, how much the king did for me
you see so clear what patience can do
and how it can change your life too
BACK TO HIGH 1&2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
High 3
This is the Midah of Hakadosh Baruch Hu
He’s patient with the Tshuva of each and every jew
with open hands he waits throughout our day
for us to come back, and follow his ways

Low 2
At the height of the sin

And halted the terrible death toll
High 1
In a whole world gone mad
the pressure for the bad
Shout for the good- very boldly
The epitome of a Jew
Courageous, stubborn too
Lifes mission- you must do
High 2
When someone does wrong
don’t get lost with the throng
Stand up for whats right- with kanoius
Zealous for G-ds glory
Pinchas’s story
Lives on for eternity

of points? A Camp Achdus camper!
The Kfiratorium is transformed
every morning into a lively Beis
Medrash. Campers in Alef, Ches,
and Daled daven and then attend
their respective shiurim given by
Yisroel Meir Burger, Rabbi Yehoshua Duskis, and Rabbi Reuven Goldstein. Meanwhile, Vuv
and Suf campers learn with Rabbi
Nulman or their esteemed
chavrusas, the erudite counselors
we are so proud to have.
From the Chessers and Daleders
learning mishnayos to the Vuver

priceless reward. As a small bonus,
Camp Achdus also supplements
those points with less valuable

 SMILING ON THE FIELD: Shloimy B. and Dovid S.
Last Week in Review
The first week of camp
was a little bit meshigeh!
You disagree? Well, let—
meeee—explain!
We wrapped up a few boys in
toilet paper. Yechiel Greenspan was one of the Wrappors
and Mordechai Mosheyev was
one of the Wrappees. Motty
Kolodny served ketchup blindfolded to Moishy Couzens.
Pinny Elbaum drank 13 cups of
water in 4 minutes and Shloimy
Ribiat drank a concoction the
contents of which we are still
not sure. The counselors decided
to put on an impromptu play
about the importance of Avacado. It turns out that the active
ingredient in Avacado is Vitamin
Chof Gimel. Who woulda thunk
it?
There was also Human Bingo!
Tuvia Rosen came in first
place. He found out that Yaakov N. was born in the same
month as him, S.M.S. can touch
his tongue to his nose, and
Efraim P. has a broken arm.
In other news, Avromy Pollack and Daniel Brenner
stood at the front of the Kfiratorium and told stories. At the
same time! Matty Brennen
performed a skit in front of the
whole camp about a king who
wants to go to Eretz Yisroel. The
counselors wondered Who
Wants to Buy a Duck, which
somehow morphed into Who
Wants to Run Camp Achdus with
Mrs. Goldstein! Shlomo Feldman threw a football into a
bucket over 100 ft away. Oh I
almost forgot about the Brothers
game! Did you know that Zach
Bril wants to be a Soccer player
when he grows up and the
Baumingers favorite food is
Cheese Blintzes? Did you know
that if you have a brother in
camp, the likelihood of you
agreeing to do your chores when
asked falls substantially? Well
now we know a lot of things that
maybe we really don’t want to
know!
We also went to Flyers Skate
Zone and froze our kahoozees
off while listening to Everybody
wants Moshiach for the 400th
time. It’s hard to believe we did
so much in a week and that is
besides the sports and swimming we did at the new Simon
Clanaman pool!

Camp Achdus: Skits in A Bag!
Each bunk got a bag and had
to use those props for a very
strange play. That was fine
for Bunk Alef because it was
1973 and that was a very
strange year as everyone
knows. Bunk Ches tried to kill
someone with a wire hanger
but B”H that came to a quick

Baseball game with garbage
but somehow scored 50 runs
anyway. Bunk Vov Katan
made fun of their teacher

Now that I think of it, having an elephant wouldn't be

Stranger things have happened!
Tuesday
It’s 9:15 am and Camp
Achdus is about to enter
a new portal. This day
shall be one that no one
will forget.
It begins with regularity. The
Sun shines and birds chirp.
Prayers are prayed and Torah
is taught. Bunk Aleph then
writes some Graffiti on the

‘What are polymers?’ you ask.
Well, it’s the stuff in diapers…
and candy. The Kosher jelly
beans given out were actually
made of those very polymers
giving it the chewy feeling and
cavity creating abilities.
Lunch follows and the
younguns return. Now it’s
their turn to make Jelly Beans

The Thunder played well and
scored three runs in the second
inning. Then the game started
to get a bit boring and Achdus
had to add a bit of Ruach. All of
the Achdus songs were sung
much to the chagrin of our fellow fans. Sooo went for about
45 seconds. Hava Nageelah was
belted out. Yesh tikvah was
sung out loud and Bunk Daled
almost sang the whole
bentching.
The 7th inning arrives and
our head staff has disappeared.
Oh no! Where can they be? Let
us pray to G-d that they be
found! Wait there they are. On
the field! They are making their
way out to the field. They stand
on the Thunder logo! And in
unison, Rabbi Michelsohn,
Rabbi Pollack and Uncle
Yehuda sing G-d Bless America. Immediately afterwards all
the singers were handed contracts to sing for the Trenton
Thunder on a regular basis. To
the great disappointment of
the managers, Group Achdus
refused because they knew
that their true home was not in
America but in Eretz Yisroel
Hakedosha. America may be
the home of the brave but
Israel is the home of the
Jews!
The game ends. Maariv
follows and then an improv
skit by some of the talented
counselors, right outside the
stadium. The bus ride features a live kumzitz. All that is
missing are the marshmallows.
When everyone else has been
dropped off in their neighborhoods, the night is finally ripe
for Bunk Daled to begin their
