Tuesday, September 29
Dot Bunn to speak at the September NHAL
Meeting.
We will have 2 models, 2 areas and 2
sections of our cafeteria in which to view
and paint (draw/sketch/photograph, etc).
The topic will be COLOR MANAGEMENT.
Dot will demonstrate her method of
controlling the harmony of color in her
paintings and her method of avoiding dull
muddy color while depicting spatial
atmosphere.
Don’t miss this chance—bring your
supplies and let’s roll up our sleeves and
….. do what we do!
November 17:
Howard Cooperman will tell us about his
new endeavor which is Art Coaching. If
you’re not sure how to proceed, what to
do next, how to kick your art business up
to the next level, or how to see your
business in a year, two years or five
years, you will want to be there to hear
what Howard has to say.
Also in November we will be having an
ART SUPPLY SWAP MEET!!! If you have
supplies you want to sell, this is the time
and place to do it. Tables are FREE but
you MUST have a reservation for a table
so don’t wait--- space is limited!! Email
Ilene Rubin at [email protected]
asap to make your reservation. No table,
no selling. But plenty of opportunity to
purchase art supplies, books, frames,
things to paint ON and things to paint
WITH. You must bring all your own
inventory and you must be able to take
care of the selling part; money/checks,
etc. NOTE; ALL SUPPLIES OR ITEMS MUST
BE IN SELLABLE CONDITION. Let’s call
them – Good or better condition. Not your
old and gross paint tubes, but if you only
used it once, great, bring it and put a
price tag on it!!!
October 27:
We have a very special event planned for
our meeting in October. We’re all artists
or art enthusiasts. How often can you
possibly be offered a FREE live model
session? So, on October 27th, at 7pm,
after a short business meeting, you will
have an opportunity to enjoy 2 live
models so we can split into 2 groups and
not be too crowded to see.
We are honored to have Jessica and
Rodney to be our subjects for our live
model session. This will be a clothed
session and you will be able to draw,
paint, sketch, use pastels, or whatever
medium you love to use.
Sign up NOW!!!
Take a break during the week and take
advantage of this unique opportunity!
Usually, live model sessions either have a

New Hope Art League
Artist Studio Tour
Friday, June 12, 2015
For a special event, Ilene Rubin
organized, for the art league, an Artist Studio
Tour. Eleven of us went as a group. We
began our day by meeting at the Doylestown
Library parking lot and consolidating cars.
Then we headed over to the studios of Dyan
Law, Deb Hoeffner, Alex Cohen, Nancy Lloyd,
Kelly Sullivan and Eleanor Voorhees. We
stopped for lunch along the way at
Porterhouse in Lahaska, where we had
several tables upstairs by the window where
we could view the valley below.
Alex Cohen's Studio
This turned out to be a spectacular
way to spend the day, make some new
friends, learn from several incredible artists
and see inspirational art and workspaces.
Below are a few photos of our day.

Sad news from Dick Carlson, Solebury Township has restricted him from using the Rolling Green
Barn for public events. This means we, and several other non-profits are out of a wonderful venue
for our events.
I am asking that all of our members explore options for a new location for our show. Please do not
leave this to just Donna and me, everyone lives in a different area of Bucks county that may have
options of which we are unaware.
When you find an possible venue please send us the following information:
Site address, contact person name, phone, email
Below are the criteria for a venue:
-Availability May 18 to 22, 2016
-On a road with high traffic visibility
-Ample parking, 100+ cars opening night
-Wall space to hang 120+ pieces
-Able to serve wine & beer
-Reasonable rent
We need the entire League's support in this endeavor; please get involved.
