your town board
Dear Resident,
Greetings! We have so many exciting initiatives and programs to offer you
this fall and winter through our Parks and Recreation Department. I hope you
take the time to browse through this brochure and learn more about them.
Alexander Gromack
Supervisor
Shirley Lasker
Councilwoman
We are committed to providing our residents with a wide selection of
quality programs that are both family friendly and of individual interests. Be
sure to register for any upcoming programs that interest you because space
can be limited.
We have recreational activities available for pre-school through senior
citizens. Our parks offer settings for passive recreation, picnicking, sports and
athletic facilities. Please take the time to enjoy the walking trail at Congers
Lake Memorial Park or participate in one of our exciting programs.
Our Town is proud to offer the best, most versatile recreational programs in
Rockland County and we hope that you have the opportunity to make use of
them. If you have any suggestions or comments, please feel free to call our
Parks and Recreation Commission.

Councilman

Do you Geocach?
Geocashing (pronounced “geo-cash”) involves someone hiding a box
of trinkets and posting the coordinates of the box’s location on the
internet; other people reference the coordinates and then go hunting
for the trinkets. If you want to hide a cache in one of the Town’s parks
you must submit an application that can be found on the Town’s
website. This is a great hobby to get you into the great outdoors.
For more info, check out www.geocaching.com.
