construed, to represent a comprehensive and/or exhaustive description of all
duties/responsibilities and requisite skills for each position.
News
REPORTER [2 Positions]: Regular Full­Time: Provide original news content for KDFW FOX 4,
myfoxdfw.com, and associated media partners by successfully accomplishing the following responsibilities:
gather news information; write news stories, and doing taped and live interviews and reports for KDFW FOX
4, myfoxdfw.com and associated media partners. Must contribute to social media efforts; Initiate research
and enterprise stories; Update and follow up on stories and communicate with managers and assignment
editors about past, current and future stories. May Anchor on a part time or fill­in basis. Complete required
administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner. Perform other duties as assigned.
Must have a broad working knowledge of police procedures, the court system, and municipal, state and
federal government operations and must have strong knowledge of legal and ethical parameters of reporting
for mass media. Ability to work under stressful conditions and deadlines is a must. Maintaining a strong
roster of contacts and sources is required. Strong working knowledge of the technical aspects of television
news production required, including digital and web­based newsgathering tools. Must be able to use
newsroom computer systems, and possess specific expertise in research and computer­assisted reporting.
Must be a strong writer and communicator and have the ability to shoot and edit video. A professional
appearance is essential. Must annunciate clearly, and maintain a clear delivery during both live and taped
reports. Bi­lingual Spanish/English a plus. 4–year college degree required with emphasis in
Communications and Journalisms preferred. 3 ­5 years’ experience in a medium to major market.
REPORTER/ANCHOR: Regular Full­Time: Provide original news content for KDFW FOX 4,
myfoxdfw.com, and associated media partners by successfully accomplishing the following responsibilities:
gather news information; write news stories, segment set up and special reports. Must enterprise and
execute daily local stories. Write and produce content for myfoxdfw.com and must be aggressive in
enterprising contributions to social media efforts. Perform other duties as assigned.
Excellent communication skills, solid news judgment and strong writing and performance skills required.
Must understand legal parameters pertaining to news and web content and thorough knowledge of current
events and, government, court, police and other agency procedures. Must be capable of using news
computer systems and be familiar with television and web production techniques. Must be capable of
working and performing well under deadline pressures. A professional appearance is essential. Must
annunciate clearly, and maintain a clear delivery during both live and taped reports. Bi­lingual

WEB PRODUCER: Regular Full­Time: The Web Producer will perform the duties of online
writer/producer, specializing in print style writing, copy editing and editorial gathering. Facilitate, understand
and execute the editorial gathering of local web news and reproducing material into strong compelling web
material. Knowledge of HTML and Photoshop is required. Ensure myfoxdfw.com is coded to standards
consistent with web style guides. Preferred experience in basic AVID editing, iNews and social media
including but not limited to Facebook and Twitter.
Bachelor’s degree required plus one [1] to two [2] years of web writing and production experience.
Knowledge of common web and application architecture. Knowledge and use of writing for print with an
emphasis on AP style. Understanding of user online behavior and must be skilled in all areas of A/V
digitizing and editing. Position demands excellent print/web writing, web editing, interface design and web
production skills. Handle multiple demands and competing priorities simultaneously in a strict
deadline­oriented environment. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to work under
pressure as part of a cohesive team.
News Engineering
STAGE MANAGER: Regular Full­Time: KDFW/KDFI currently has an opening for a Stage
Manager. The position is responsible for coordinating all activities in the Studios and production
areas of the Station. He/She will work closely with the News and Engineering departments.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, cueing and prompting the on­air talent during all
newscasts and studio productions. Oversee the staging, lighting and general appearance of the
studios. During live or recorded programming, the Stage Manager will take direction from the Show
Director. Candidate will also operate the teleprompt system and set and/or change lighting and
lighting cues as required for the shows.
Requirements, Skills & Abilities: Four year college degree preferred. Three [3] or more years full time
experience as a Stage Manager in a medium or large television market. Position requires the handling of
multiple demands with professionalism and results. The ability to work under pressure and work in a
cohesive team environment is a must. This person must have clear verbal skills and a clam, patient, positive
demeanor. Must be willing to work nights and weekends and be able to lift 25 to 50lbs.
Sales
Account Executive: Regular Full­Time: KDFW/KDFI currently has an opening for an Account
Executive. The position will primarily focus on developing new business for Broadcast TV. The successful
candidate must be able to identify qualified targets, use strong communication and presentation skills
throughout the sales process and maintain a high closing ratio. We are looking for someone that can bring
together all our resources (Top Rated Local News, Fox Network, Fox Sports, My Network TV, Web
Sponsorships and Promotions) in a creative manner to achieve a high level of results. Other responsibilities
include but are not limited to, strategically negotiating existing business along with obtaining incremental
dollars from the existing market and building strong client relationships. Responsible for completing
administrative tasks such as weekly forecasts, monthly reports, new business trackers, weekly meeting
forms and the credit and collection of all accounts.
Ideal candidate must possess a proven track record of success in sales. A four year college degree is

required. Media sales experience is strongly preferred. Knowledge of media math, TV ratings and web
metrics is a plus. Candidate must be a self­starter with strong verbal and written communication skills. We
are looking for someone who is energetic, positive, creative and passionate to succeed in the highly
competitive environment of media sales. Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking are critical to the
position. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required and knowledge of media related software and
research tools is a plus.
NATIONAL SALES ASSISTANT: Regular Full­Time: KDFW/KDFI currently has an
opening for a National Sales Assistant. The position is responsible for the maintenance of all
national contracts including checking contracts for accuracy throughout the order process.
Required to learn industry specific software used to input orders, process orders and generate
reports. Ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and communicate daily to the
National Sales Manager and National Sales Organization on order placement, spot times, revisions,
makegoods and resolution of problems. The National Sales Assistant is responsible for reconciling
all current orders to reduce input errors and /or errors in order write­up. Additionally, the National
Sales Assistant is responsible for reviewing all preempts on a daily basis and when appropriate,
creating makegood offers to be reviewed by the National Sales Manager.
Requirements, Skills & Abilities: Four year college degree or equivalent work experience required. Must be
highly organized and detail oriented. Good communication skills are essential along with the ability to
construct and correct written presentations. Previous experience at a national rep firm or a television station
preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) required and an
aptitude for math is a must.
Engineering
VICE PRESIDENT OF ENGINEERING: Regular Full­Time: Responsible for developing,
implementing and maintaining all systems to ensure fault tolerant and error free operations of stations’
broadcast equipment including daily oversight of local Hub/Spoke technology to produce efficient, flawless
operations. Must effectively manage engineering, production, news technical, facilities, security,
mechanical systems and tower/transmitter. Must develop and implement current and long range technical
and technological operation plans, prepare departmental expense budgets and oversee the preparation of
both current and future capital plans. Must possess the ability to establish procedures and standards for
operation and maintenance of equipment and studio operations. Responsible for station compliance with
FCC, OSHA and FAA regulations.
Ideal candidate must possess extensive knowledge of all broadcast systems, government regulations and
industry standards to ensure the television stations’ technical compliance. Must have significant technical
expertise in the planning implementation and maintenance of television station and RF facilities. Understanding of digital and automation technology is essential. Individual must be a strong leader with
excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must possess strong attention to detail, accuracy and
strong organization skills. Must have the ability to direct and motivate the technical staff and work well with
all station departments. Knowledge of ELC and iTX environments a plus. Bachelor’s Degree in
electronics/electrical engineering and a minimum of ten (10) years broadcast engineering management
experience required. SBE certification is preferred. Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint software
a must.
Finance
FINANCIAL ANALYST: Regular Full­Time: KDFW/KDFI currently has an opening for a Financial

Analyst. The Financial Analyst has significant responsibility for providing complete, accurate, and timely
accounting reports to management. This is accomplished by accurately interpreting raw and summarized
data from the Traffic and General Ledger systems. Responsible for preparing all journal entries and
analyses related to the accounting cycle closes, including standard, recurring, and adjusting journal entries
and posting depreciation. Also responsible for capitalizing fixed assets and maintaining the master asset list
along with the related records. The Financial Analyst will assist in regular auditing and testing. Assists in
the annual SOX 404 testing and annual budget preparation. This candidate must have flexibility with work
schedule.
Requirements, Skills & Abilities: Four year college degree with a major or concentration in Accounting,
Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline is required. Broadcast Finance experience is
preferred. A CPA or MBA is required. A minimum of four [4] or more years of general accounting experience
is required. Must possess good working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, have good math
skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office with a heavy emphasis in Excel and operate a 10­key by touch.
