"And I tell you,
ask and you will receive;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door
will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks,
receives; and the one
who seeks, finds;
and to the one who knocks,
the door will be opened.
Luke11:9-10
We make deals with God in our moment of
despair or fear, but when things were great we
asked for little or sometimes nothing at all. We
need God and his generosity 365 days a year.
Better than that, God wants us to ask for things
and learn to rely on him. There is no strength
in walking in this world alone. God wants to be
the source of all our strength. That is one
reason why at every hour of the day,
somewhere in the world, Mass is being
celebrated and his children are receiving him in
the Holy Eucharist. If God can become man,
die, and rise again, and then humble himself in
the elements of bread and wine to be close to
you, do you not think he will respond to
your everyday simple requests? May God's
generosity flow to you in great abundance
for his love knows no limits.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Next weekend, Father Gerald Garcia will preach at all Masses for the annual Mission Co Op.
He is from the Diocese of Lucena in the Philippines. In our diocese, we have 2 priests serving
here from that diocese. We welcome him to our partner parishes and I ask you to be generous
in helping in this year's Mission Co Op.
I want to thank everyone in Yatesboro who helped to make our part in the Shannock Valley
Community Days a success. May God bless you for helping in this important fundraiser.
In Kittanning, we are getting closer to the Fort Armstrong Folk Festival, August 4-7. Please
sign up and volunteer your time to help at this year's festival.
This weekend in Kittanning we welcome Bishop Malesic here for the first St. Andrew Dinner for
vocations. Each day, continue to pray for vocations to the priesthood.
Finally, when you are preparing to enroll your child in school, do not forget about Divine
Redeemer Catholic School. Recently, the school was voted the best private school
in the Leader Times. For more information, take a look at the information on this page.

St. Mary, Mother of God Parish News
Pass on the Good News!
What good news? - The Good News of
Jesus Christ and our Catholic Faith. This fall,
over 125 children and youth, Kindergarten
through Grade 12, will be given the
opportunity to learn more about Jesus and
the Catholic Faith. Faith Formation Classes
begin September 18, 2016.
YOU can help them learn and grow in faith
by becoming a catechist or an aide in our
Faith Formation Program. As you nurture
the faith of our young, you will learn and
grow as well! As many of our catechists
have said, “I learn so much from the
children!” If a weekly commitment is not
possible, we will be happy to work with your
schedule. Training, materials and support are
provided.
If interested or for more information, contact
Bonnie Frailey, Coordinator of Faith Formation,
at 724-354-3779 or
[email protected]

Mission Cooperative Appeal to Benefit
Seminary in the Diocese of Lucena, Philippines
Next weekend, July 30 & 31, we will welcome Father Gerald
Garcia from The Diocese of Lucena, Philippines at our partner
parishes. He will make the annual Mission Co Op Appeal asking
for our support of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Seminary and
its seminary formation program.
In 2002, the diocese embarked on a project of constructing a
bigger seminary because of the great growth of vocations.
To date, construction is 85% completed. In fact, the seminarians
and priests have moved in 5 years ago. The appeal for help is not
only directed towards the completion of the buildings. The task of
sustaining the seminary formation program seems daunting. As of
now, there is 116 seminarians in all levels of formation.
Enclosed in this week’s bulletin is a Mission Co Op envelope.
Please return it with your donation next weekend when the second
collection for this appeal will be taken. In order to include your
donation in the parish records, please use this envelope and make
check payable to your parish.
Thank you for your support!
Your generous help will be remembered in gratitude
by the seminary community and the local church
of the Diocese of Lucena.
