Anna is a respectable person because of whose efforts Alkud is a peaceful village. He is
called for, as a witness to a survey being conducted by a Government agency. Anna’s
guessing about the survey transforms in to fear of acquisition of land, which compels him to
fence his piece of land. This simple act becomes the genesis of a rumour of a proposed
industrial zone at Alkud. Arunbhau (Sarpanch), propagates the news to MLA Waghmare. He
plans to declare the news officially. This, he thinks, will fetch him great political mileage.
The news leaks to Walzade (Minister of Industry). Soon a game of political one-upmanship,
becomes fodder for further rumour. Waghmare starts buying land in Alkud. The non-fertile
and barren land turns to gold. This wave disturbs the harmony of the village. By the time
this political game ends, the village has lost its human relationship pattern and simplicity of
being.

In a small agrarian town on the outskirts of a major city, resides a man with high morals
and ethics fondly called Anna. Oblivious to the increasing demands for land
developments, a scam much bigger than the innocent life of these farmers is taking place
in the city, in order to create a new IT City. The builder lobby with the help of estate agents
target this town and start grabbing land at outrageous prices luring the farmers to riches
through instant money and lavish lifestyles. Anna’s neighbours fall prey to this trap and sell
their entire land. This worries Anna about his own land and his children's future and this
takes a toll on his health. It takes no time for Anna's sons to fall prey to this new found
