Energy Benefits
The distinctive honeycomb of DUETTE® Fabric traps air in the
cells creating air pockets that act as an insulator. A white heat
reflective fabric is used on the external face (window side) of
the cell structure to reflect solar heat and aid the insulation
process.
Automated DUETTE® Shades can be connected to building
management systems for optimal control of air conditioning
loads and comfort of the building occupants.
Environmental and Employee Benefits
The superior insulating performance of DUETTE® Shades can
significantly improve temperature comfort for building occupants
all year.
The flexibility of opening and operating options gives people
complete control over the degree of light and heat entry and
level of privacy in their workspace, leading to greater levels of

New Zealand Window Shades, operates under an Environmental
Management System that actively works towards waste and
emission reduction and maximising the use of recycling.
Unique Features
DUETTE® Shades are characterised by their unique cellular
structure. The cells provide an insulation barrier that reduces
the exchange of heat in summer and winter. The double-walled
honeycomb structure makes the fabric extremely strong, durable
and flexible. DUETTE® Shades can be made in an almost infinite
variety of shapes, including operating arches, and can operate
in almost every direction. They are truly the most versatile of
window covering solutions.
The cellular structure of DUETTE® Shades provides superior
insulation capability. The creases in DUETTE® fabric will not
‘drop out’ over time.
Top-down operated shades allow blinds to be open at the top
to permit natural light to enter the workspace while the lower
part of the blind remains closed, reducing glare on computer
screens.
Fire Retardant
DUETTE® Shades are suitable for use in Class 1-9 buildings
according to the Building Code of Australia.

Specification Overview
Fabric is 100% antistatic spun bonded polyester. DUETTE®
Blockout fabrics have a metallic lining.
Head and bottom rails are made from extruded aluminium.
Durability
DUETTE® Fabrics are very durable. Fabrics without a metallic
lining can even be washed.

Models and Options
With their sleek headrail and tiny stack height, DUETTE® Standard Shades are unobtrusive when open
and fit neatly in window recesses with minimal light gaps when closed.
DUETTE® PowerRise Shades
PowerRise is a battery powered remote control revolution for DUETTE® Shades. No wires, no cords,
no effort required ever again. Two channel operation is standard. PowerRise Shades are particularly
suitable for hard to reach windows.
DUETTE® Skylight Shades
DUETTE® Skylight Shades can be installed just about anywhere - over skylights or other hard to reach
windows. They are also held securely on sloped windows. Pole or cord operation available.
DUETTE® Top-Down/Bottom-Up Shades
Total flexibility gives you the chance of having light at the top of a window and privacy on the bottom.
You can move the centre rail to make any portion of the fabric disappear or raise the bottom rail for
an open view. Operation is by dual cord system.
DUETTE® Duo-lite Shades
With Duo-lite Shades you can control the light and privacy with the one extraordinary shade by simply
adjusting the amount of each fabric you would like to see. Both fabric panels can also be raised for a
completely open view.
DUETTE® ULTRAGLIDE® Shades
The ultimate in child safety, or simply for neater appearance, ULTRAGLIDE® Shades have a self retracting
lift cord. The lift cord is a constant length, no matter whether the shade is raised or lowered.
DUETTE® Slopers Top and Bottom
Duette blinds can be manufactured for sloping windows up to 45º. These blinds are fully operable.
Specialty Shapes
Now even arch windows can have fixed DUETTE® arched Shades. DUETTE® Shades can also be
manufactured in a myriad of shapes, including fans, angles and circles.
