Supply Chain Concept
„Design to supply chain“
Asia
Pre-production of cabinets / barebones
in Asia

Order entry
Delivery
Preproduction
utilizing low wage workforce
Supplier Quality management
Europe
Final assembly close to the customer
in Europe
 mainboard assembly
 high configuration flexibility
 short lead-time to customers
 low price drop / currency risk

Customer
Lead Time
BTO Flexibility Requirements

The highly volatile monthly and daily order entry is a great challenge
for the entire supply chain

The fulfillment of customer delivery expectations require highly flexible capacity and
workforce in the factories e.g. short lead times
“ Flexibility as a basic asset ”

Check and analysis of APL-Sn
Inhouse checks like for standard process qualification
=> min. 1 sample each type and each lot compared to
standard material
Optical check by microscope of wetting SMD solder joints,
test points and THT-hole filling
X-Ray voiding analysis of BGA, QFN and Mosfets
additional X-Ray of THT hole filling
AOI-failure results of every board (pseudo failures,
bridgeing, open solder joints, solder balls, not straight THT)
ICT-Testability = contactability

Fazit/Ausblick
