by Surrealism, but he later switched
to abstract art and was, among other
things, a notable member of the art
movement known as Art Informel.
Tàpies was attracted to relief forms and
the expressive value of non-traditional
art materials such as marble dust,
sand, and soil, which he introduced into
printmaking and developed a number
of new techniques.
Tàpies participated in several editions
of the Ljubljana Biennial of Graphic Arts,
for the first time in 1967, when he was
awarded the Biennial’s Grand Prize. His
art influenced a number of Slovenian
artists.

The exhibition draws attention to

Biffy Clyro are currently considered
to be one of the most exciting indie
rock bands and their new album,
Ellipsis, due for release later this
year, is eagerly awaited.
Three childhood friends from
Scotland founded a band, released
three albums bursting with youthful
boisterousness, and entered the
music charts with their fourth
release, Puzzle, in 2007. Their album
Opposites, released in 2013, earned
them a place among the bands
filling arenas and headlining such
renowned rock music events as the
Reading and Leeds Festivals. This
year, after a career break of a few
years, they are making a comeback
with their seventh studio album,
Ellipsis. The first single from the
album, Wolves of Winter, released
back in March, is a great success.
