MAGOX® MgO outperforms most other MgO products due
to greater reactivity and bioavailability. T-50 and CMA test scores
confirm better performance from MAGOX.®
•
The T-50 test (pH stat) measures the reactivity of an MgO under
approximately constant pH conditions. MgO is dispersed in pH 3.0
water, pH is kept constant by titration of acetic acid and timed in
seconds until 50% of the available MgO has been neutralized.
•
The Caustic Magnesia Activity test (CMA) is an acid/base
neutralization reaction, where acetic acid is used to neutralize MgO.
This is a timed (seconds) reaction to complete neutralization and is
a quick and simple test to gauge relative reactivity of different
MgO products.
