Why using Marine Magic MM01B (1+1) Dosing Pump ?
1. SINGLE or DUAL doser
Based on your actual needs to buy it.
2. EASY-TO-USE INTERFACE
All the control process and dosing information is clearly showed in super clear LCD display.
3. FLEXIBLE DOSING TIME
Each pump could max. set 36 times on / off per week. Dosing could be set as weekly schedule. You
could set dose every other day. They are working independently.
4. FLEXIBLE DOSING SPEED
There are 4-speed settings. Each pump could work independently with its own speed.
5. HIGH ACCURACY, USE TIME TO CONTROL
Different from some traditional dosing pump, Marine Magic use time (hour / min / second) as input to
control the dosing amount. It is much accurate than using ML as an input indicator as it will be getting
inaccurate while the DC motor brush wearing and dosing tube become flatten. Using time to control
dosing rate, you could easy do the calibration by adjusting the time run.
6. SMALL AMOUNT DOSING CAPABILITY
The 4 speed is ranging from 0.05 ml – 0.65 ml / second. You could do accurate dosing as accurate as
0.1 ml.
7. DOSING STATUS MENU DISPLAY
After you set all your dosing instruction, the dosing status menu will show the coming dosing execution.
It shows the coming 3 set of dosing execution.
8. BUILD-IN Batteries Compartment for Timer backup
You could use rechargeable NIMH batteries or alkaline batteries to be the back up power supply of the
timer. Even under electric cut, the timer could still run up to 24 hours.
9. Compact and Sleek design, Front motor replaceable housing
Compact and it is wall-mountable. You could simply replace the motor by clicking the lock on the front
housing. Different from traditional doser, you need to screw off the screws from the back.

0.05 ~ 0.075ml / sec. (Droplet dosing - Slow)
b. S-2
c. S-3
d. S-4
0.1 ~ 0.2 ml / sec. (Droplet dosing – Fast)
0.25 ~ 0.35 ml / sec.
0.5 ~ 0.6 ml /sec.
(The rate is based on water as media and a 6FT hose connected)
7. Memory function, after you set the dosing instruction, it will be stored in the RAM. Data could be kept
even under electric cut. Backup batteries could help to maintain the internal clock to run 24 hours.

Warning
•
Don’t set the timer with contraction. The overlapped one will not be carried out.
• Cannot set the start time at 00:00:00. 00:00:00 is a default set time when mean the pump is static.
• Don’t set the start time but leave the run time as “00:00:00”. If you want that entry becomes static,
please set the Start time and Run time both to be “00:00:00”.
Tips
Since each pump, motor would have tolerance, the amount you collect might have around 5% difference
between pumps.
This is advised you to do a Trail amount collected first in the Manual mode before you move to Timer
mode. Find out the time you need the pump to run for your desired amount, this is the key to dose your
solvent accurately.

Usage Instruction
General instruction
•
Keep away from water and sun exposure. Keep it away from humidity. Don’t put the unit too close
to the fish tank.
•
Don’t put anything on top of the unit
• Turn off and unplug if you do not use the unit.
• Don’t unplug the power plug by dragging the power cord.
About Pump and Peristaltic tube
•
Pump rate will be getting faster over a time of usage due to the wearing of silicon tube and brush
inside the motor. This is because the tube will become flatten and the dosing rate will become faster.
Monitor the amount you set and best to check it monthly. Use the time to adjust the amount you
want to maintain.
•
Please note peristaltic tube (Silicon tube) is consumable. Need replacement over a time of usage.
Life of the tube is more than 400 hours if only run around 10-20 minutes per day. 400 hours is
talking about the total working time, the idle time is not counting in. Generally, the tube should be
last for a year.
•
•
•
Please put the pump into the shaft gently while replacing.
Please do not put any lubricant in the pump.
If found abnormal noise of the pump, please “clip off” the pump from the unit and try to tight up the
pump. “Clip on” the pump after fix it.
•
In case the pump stalled, clip off the pump and then clip on again.
About motor
•
Please note that motor is consumable, needed replacement if needed. You could contact us for any
parts replacement. Life of DC motor is usually about 125-150 hours base on 5 min on and 5 min off
life test. A very best quality DC motor could not more than a 300 hours life generally.
•
Generally, most of the dosing pump is using DC motor to drive the pump, which is not supposed to
be a continuous running usage. Marine Magic is also using a DC motor to drive the pump working.
Life of the motor is about 150 hours and is based on a 5 minutes on and 5 minutes off to do the life
test. If you just use the pump 10-20 minutes per day, the life should be more than 150 hours and it
should be last for 1-2 years.
•
All the DC motor has carbon brush inside and it will be wearing over times. You might find there is
black debris around the motor and pump after some times usage which is usual.
About Usage
•
To protect the reef of your tank, this is not recommended to connect the dosing pump with a
container over your 5 days dose amount.
•
This device is NOT designed for a continuous running dosing. This is recommended to run the
pump max. with 10 minute on and then with 10 minutes off. Life will be reduced if running over it.
• Please don’t run the unit over 60 min. everyday or the life of the unit life will be shortened.

•
This is recommended to connect the air line with length less than 6 feet. Siphoning effect will be
getting less if longer than that.
About PCB control box.
•
Each part inside the box is replaceable and you could purchase spare parts with us. Generally, the
PCB and LCD are durable parts.
About batteries of Timer Backup
•
MM01B has build in batteries compartment for backup power in case of electric cut or blackout.
(Batteries not included.) You could use 2 x AAA alkaline batteries or rechargeable NIMH batteries
in the compartment.
•
An 1000 mAH NIMH rechargeable batteries could keep the clock run 24 hours under an electric cut.
While the batteries power getting low, the white LED (Auto) will flash.
•
Rechargeable batteries will be charged with 12V power supply.
About Check valve
•
Installation of Check valve. – There is IN / OUT marking on it. Connected the External tube to the
end with marking “IN”.
