welcome - Arrowhead Alpine Club
Welcome
Welcome to our 13th Winter Season at the Alpine Club. While it is still late fall as we
go to press with this newsletter, we know an abundance of snow will soon be covering
the recently fallen golden leaves that now blanket the mountain trails. Our fall colors
this season were exceptionally spectacular.
While you will be seeing a few new faces around the club this coming winter, the
majority of the staff that you have come to know so well will still be around.
I hope you had an opportunity to experience some of the outstanding events that we
hosted this summer at Camp Alpine Club.
Our Arrowhead Club community is really a special place and we are grateful to be part
of the Alpine Club family.
Reflecting back over the past 12 years I am most proud that the club continues to
be a catalyst in the development of many lasting relationships amongst the members
and that we all have grown closer together, and I also certainly am proud of the many
community Non Profit Organizations and the lives that you have enriched by your
volunteering and “getting involved”.
Thanks for your continued support of the club, our staff, each other, and your
community outreach.
Sincerely,
Bob Moroney
Club Director

Guest Policy
All guests must be accompanied by their
sponsoring member. Members are allowed
15 complimentary accompanied guest visits
during the winter season and 20 during the
summer season. Members are allowed a
maximum of four accompanied guests per day
per membership.
Member Ski Storage
The Alpine Club has the ability to store
up to four pair of skis/snowboards per
membership. Please be advised that we will
strictly enforce this policy as storage space is
limited. Members with more than four pieces
of equipment will be required to remove the
excess equipment before Arrowhead Mountain
opens. After Arrowhead Mountain opens we
will remove excess skis to an off-site storage
facility.
Staff Recognition Fund
As we have established a “Non-Tipping Policy”
at the club, we discourage members from
expressing your gratitude directly to the club
staff except for personal services (therapists
and trainers). If you would like to thank the
staff for the services and assistance they
provide you throughout the year, we ask you
do so by contributing to our Annual Staff
Recognition Fund in late February.

Soup of the day and Panini sandwiches will be
offered this winter in the lounge between the
hours of 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Beaver Creek News
New High Speed Quad Chairlift for Beaver Creek
The much anticipated new Rose Bowl high speed quad chairlift will
forever change the ski experience at Beaver Creek. Transporting 2,400
people per hour, the new chair’s ride time will be nearly cut in half at five
and a half minutes. For skiers and snowboarders, this means more ski
time! Look for increased grooming operations in Rose Bowl, including
some of the bowl’s black diamond runs, providing skiers and riders with
a wider variety of terrain options accessed from the new lift and further
capitalizing on the gentle, as well as extreme terrain, in the area.
EpicMix now with Photos
Vail Resorts’ award winning and popular ski and snowboard application,
EpicMix, is doing something that no other resort or ski mountain is doing
- taking and then giving free on-mountain photos to guests to easily share
on Facebook and social sites. Starting mid-December, you will be able
to upload your own photos or have your picture taken by an on-mountain
professional. Combine this with your vertical feet and digital pins through
the new EpicMix platform. This year EpicMix will be accessible to all
guests with the upgrade to “smart” RF-enabled lift tickets.
New Talon’s Challenge for Kids
Beaver Creek’s signature Talon’s Challenge event returns March 3. The
Talon tackles nearly 24,000 vertical and showcases the mountain’s
toughest 13 black and double-black diamond runs in one day. This year
the Talon’s will draw a younger crowd. Kids will be rewarded with their
own new Kids Talon’s Challenge March 4.
